The over used "Melting Pot" analogy for Immigration is Freeking Broken
Here is why:
- The heat is too low on the stove ( Reduced Pressure to assimilate )
- The Pot is smaller than you think ( Number of people that we can culturally absorb without permanently altering our base culture )
- The Pot is overstuffed & ingredients are spilling out on the counter ( We have way to many people trying to come in, Illegals are the "spillover" ).
- The Pot is not being Mixed ( Self-Segregated Ethnic communities are not dispersing faster than they are growing )
If you were to eat this damned mess you would get food poisoning.
The "Dinner Guests" ( American Born Citizens ) are at some point going to vomit all over due to the deliberate intentional food poisoning by the chefs ( lawmakers ).
I stand corrected, the melting pot analogy is perfect, given the fact that the Chefs who are supposed to be overseeing it are a bunch of god damned dimwits just pouring in extra ingredients when no one is looking while neglecting to watch the pot and tending to it when it actually needs attention.
The pot is now all GMO and has no seeds so you can’t grow your own.
The left doesn’t want newcomers to assimilate. It separates everyone into distinct groups and gives them an “identity.” From the moment anyone comes into the country he/she is branded with an identity: black/white/hispanic/asian/native American/ etc.
Then they are turned against the universally hated group: “White Americans” and are certified as victims.
It is not the UNITED states.

In 1990’s colleges were indoctrinating teaching students that America is more like a salad bowl than a melting pot, this is the problem. We cannot identify as _______-American. We must not segregate ourselves.

The melting pot analogy (analogies are always sketchy) meant that foreign peoples were supposed to come here and trade their language, culture, and politics for the “American Way.” Today we are not insisting on that, and we are actually dividing from within the United States. War is coming.
