NASCAR driver Noah Gragson has been suspended indefinitely by his team for liking a meme mocking George Floyd.
Gragson later said after the blowback from the incident, "I am disappointed in myself for my lack of attention and actions on social media."
The meme of Floyd is his face on the crab from Little Mermaid, with a caption saying, "Under da knee," connecting to the song, "Under the Sea."

Years ago, I enjoyed watching the race on Sunday afternoon. Then they started changing all the rules so that all cars were equal. Every race ended with a major wreck and then a “shoot-out” for the final lap or two. It became boring so I seldom watched at all.
Next, it became “woke” and I refuse to watch any race. I don’t even know the racers’ names anymore. I’ll be surprised if the entire enterprise lasts much longer. People I know that would travel to several races a year no longer do so. Few people buy the merchandise. Racing is no longer a sport exhibiting driver skill and promoting automobile mechanical innovation. All the fun has been removed from the sport.
Hey! Maybe pickle-ball contests can take over the usual racing time-slots. I’m sure I can nap to that on a Sunday afternoon just as well as a Nascar race!
Social media is being used to identify dissenters so they can be punished for their Wrongthink.

Used to love NASCAR in the days of Carl Yarboughand Richard Petty but dumped it when they put on restrictor plates and banned the battlefield and cigarette ads which basically funded the major races.
Today’s racers are preening shadows of the early great so them bending over and taking it in the @ss is no surprise.
