same as my extended family....all of us kids except for one rebel have stayed married to our spouses for well over 30 yrs each, and some over 50....
It may have lost some prominence but no it is not over nor will it ever be.

It’s not over. The nuclear family does way, way better. I reinforce that all the time.
A lot of people are starting to figure this out, hence the growth of the MGTOW movement.
I don’t agree that the nuclear family is over but I think the American Dream is gone. Hard to buy a home. Hard to have mom stay home to raise the kids. Hard to know your neighbors. The 20th century was better.
The response of our government is to bring in more immigrants. I don’t see that as a bad thing if it destroys the left. Hispanics are more traditionalist and they would never put up with the woke crap by the left.
We still have a traditional nuclear and extended family of four generations. Men & women married with children born after marital consummation, regular church attendance, all-family reunions (particularly at Thanksgiving and Christmas), non-gambling card games for leisure, conversations rather than political arguments after meals, love and understanding openly expressed. It may sound boring to some, but it’s a way of life to our families.

The laws on marriage and divorce are so punitive towards the man I can see exactly why men don’t want to be married.
It can lead to financial ruin.
My uncle’s wife left him for another man and took most of what he had. He had to pay alimony. Insult on top of injury.
He died broke.
I actually cheer for the demise of the nuclear family, which is an invention of the industrial age. Prefer a restoration of the extended family that proceeded it.

62 years of marriage for my wife and I.
55-60 years for our siblings, and 45-54 for our adult kids.
No parental grandkids yet, as they have been busy getting good degrees and great jobs.
Same folks who claimed “God is Dead” and “The Beatles are more popular than God.” Yeah right.
The “nuclear family” is a product of the industrial era. The extended family is the true norm.
The nuclear family is not something that was just cooked up in some meeting. It is a natural order for us. The sick creeps trying to destroy will fail. It is something we all share everywhere on Gods green earth
