I was curious what Intrade was saying about the 2012 GOP race. So I've listed who they are favoring for both the presidential and VP nominations. I am not listing anybody with less than a 4% chance. In descending order:
Mitt Romney 25%
Tim Pawlenty 12.3%
Mitch Daniels 10.9%
Mike Huckabee 8.3%
Newt Gingrich 6%
Sarah Palin 5.5%
Jon Huntsman 4.3%
Michele Bachmann 4.1%
-------------------------------------
For VP:
Marco Rubio 24.9%
Mike Pence 19.9%
Chris Christie 15%
John Thune 13%
Bobby Jindal 9.8%
Sarah Palin 9%
Mike Huckabee 7.9%
Tim Pawlenty 7.5%
Scott Brown 7%
Paul Ryan 7%
Bob McDonnell 5.5%
Jim DeMint 4.5%
Mitch Daniels 4%

The numbers are what they are. And this is based on regular everyday voters who are mostly apolitical.
IOW = little, to scant interest.
I predict the next POTUS isn’t even on that list.....
If that list is accurate, seems to me Daniels is the best choice.
Apolitical yea right
Do you know how much money is involved its not like the stock market my friend?
What do you think the media is spending to trash a Sarah Palin? I will tell you a whole hell of a lot more than it would take to move the chains on this BS market.
Nice try this stuff is total BS come back to me when the market involves hundreds of millions to billions then you may have a point.
I don't think you can say little to scant interest. These numbers reflect financial investment from Intrade traders. This isn't some internet poll. To have any say you have to have forked over cash. If you say, for instance, that you think Chris Christie will be the VP nominee in 2012 and he's not, you lose your money.
Yuck, Huck.
Real money changing hands doesn’t mean there’s a lot of interest yet.
For instance: I buy and sell shares of junior minors. Real money gets paid for those shares but the market in any single junior is rather illiquid - a sudden influx of a small amount of money makes a big difference.
Right now the Libs can mess with the profile of front-runners without spending a lot of money.
Notice to GOP: I won’t cast a vote for Romney.
Neither will I.
Nor will I vote for Huckabee, Gingrich, or Pawlenty.
NO MORE ^%%##@(&^%)*$% RINOS.
I was at the barber shop and everyone was talking about the latest Intertrade.
( rolling eyes )
Man, I need to short a few of these people.
Who would you rather see win? Romney, Pawlenty, or Daniels?
We are doomed...
What did Intrade (who are they again?) say about the 2008 race on 3/3/2007?
What did they say about the 2000 race on 3/3/1999?
Find out then get back with me and maybe I’ll be interested.
Your list looks about like mine. If the GOP runs these turds, then I really will just sit back and let the cards fall as they might. Representative government has pretty much come to a close anyway.
There is no way on this earth I will vote for Romney. If that’s the choice forced on me I will not vote at all, I’d be done with the whole process.
Vote, at least in the US House and Senate elections. As for the top of the ticket, I'll write in Sarah Palin, Jim DeMint, or Michelle Bachmann if the RINO wing of the party chooses another McCain. That's if I don't write in John Galt and go completely Galt.
I'll always vote for the fed & state reps. Your tactics are excellent.
