e mail links for sponsors of "The Reagans"
Free Republic PA Board ^ | Oct. 24, 2003 | Owl_Eagle and Dr. Scarpetta

Posted on 10/24/2003 7:56:35 AM PDT by End Times Sentinel

(Boy, I hope this works)
Dr. Scarpetta posted the list of sponsors for CBS's upcoming "Reagan Rip Job" movie to the PA board this morning.  I've compiled a list of links to e mail the sponsors so we can let them know exactly what we think of them helping to spread slanderous lies about one of the finest Presidents we've ever had.  If the links work like they should, you should go directly to a page to email them.

If anyone can find e mail addresses for the four that I couldn't, please post.

Thank you Dr. Scarpetta!!!

Her is the letter I have been sending to all concerned:

CBS' 75th Anniversary

Dear Sir/Madam,
Due to CBS' vile decision to 'celebrate its 75th anniversary' by airing a slanderous revisionist left-wing smear about Ronnie and Nancy Reagan, I have informed Ron Longetti, the General Manager of KPIX that I have DELETED completely Ch5 from my tv's set program listing.

Therefore, I will not only be boycotting all CBS national programming, but also all KPIX local news and other programming as well as all of its advertisers.

I have also asked and received confirmation that dozens of members of my extended family in 5 states will be doing the same to their CBS affiliates.

May CBS' 75th Anniversary be its LAST!!!!

Heck, you must be a youngster! Just kidding!! France has been on my list since 1987 since the Libyia bombing. My wife and I have long memories and will not but anything from these Companies if they do not stop this. This boycott is the only way to stop the hate mongers!

A bit of curiosity: What did General Mills do?

I don't recall exactly. (That's the nice thing about "Permanent Boycott," you don't have to. *\:-) Financial support for some extreme, lefty, anti-American organization.

IIRC, the General Mills boycott came out as a result of the company's large donations to Planned Parenthood.

Here is the contact info for Target Corporate Headquarters.

They are the ones who really care about the bottom line and make the decisions. They also own Mervyn's and Marshall Fields.

I gave up on CBS a long time ago. I admit I watch the CSI shows, but I get it on CTV [Canadian].

I was forced to consciously avoid CBS in toto when Letterman had the bent one as a guest on 9/11/02.

So, since I don't watch the network anyway:

Is it "fair" for me to complain to CBS eventhough I'm not in their audience?

Is it "fair" for me to complain to advertisers who are only attempting to expand their market and sales to people who
do not think like me? After all, they apparently are not going to reach me viacom CBS, ergo, those
advertisers have to go to other outlets.

However, for the advertisers to support an admitted negatively fabricated story about an alzheimers sufferer who
cannot defend himself (Drudge on Rush), is beyond the paley.

IIRC, the General Mills boycott came out as a result of the company's large donations to Planned Parenthood.

That could well be. I was thinking that perhaps it had something to do with animals or hunting, but the large donations element fits.

PA FREEPER PING (I cobbled together two lists so pardon me if anyone got double pinged.)

I got through the above list in about 20 minutes and just kept pasting the below correspondence in the windows.  FWIW- I do this type of thing a lot and I downloaded a free program here http://www.gator.com/ that populates my name, email, phone # etc.  It's a HUGE time saver with this type of thing if anyone is interested.  (The only "cost" is that it throws open another window in the background that hosts a pretty lame search engine whenever you go to Google.com).

Dear Sirs,

It's come to my attention that you will be sponsoring the
upcoming fictional portrayal of Ronald Reagan's life "The Reagans".

I've read the coverage concerning the script and the
manufactured quotes which convinces me this is nothing more
than a partisan rip job.

Due to the fact that you are a sponsor of this program, I am
writing to inform you that I will boycott your business and am
informing other likeminded individuals of the opportunity to do
the same.

You should really examine the content of what you
sponsor and distance yourself from such contentious material.

Regards,

"Permanent Boycott" means they have engaged in activity so egregious that they will never see a dime from me again. It also means I don't have to bother remembering how they got on the list in the first place -- so there is no way to make it up.
Excellent.

This has nothing and then again everything to do with media bias, a joke I got over the internet. Made me laugh!

The Pope is visiting Washington, D.C. and President Bush takes him out for an afternoon on the Potomac sailing onthe Presidential yacht, the Sequoia. They're admiring the sights when, all of a sudden, the Pope's hat (zucchetto) blows off his head and out into the water.

Secret service guys start to launch a boat, but President Bush waves them off, saying, "Wait, wait. I'll take care of this. Don't worry."

Bush then steps off the yacht onto the surface of the water and walks out to the Holy Father's little hat, bends over and picks it up, then walks back to the yacht and climbs aboard. He hands the hat to the Pope amid stunned silence.

The next morning the headlines in New York Times, Boston Globe,Milwaukee Sentinel-Journal, Minneapolis Tribune,Denver Post, Albuquerque Journal, Los Angeles Times and the San Francisco Chronicle proclaim:"BUSH CAN'T SWIM!"
