A response to a letter sent to HP investor relations:
I apologize to your offense to the radio commercial airing on an Air America affiliate. It is not the view of HP to use mediums like TV or radio to support or disagree with any type of political agendas, and the overriding consideration in buying media is to reflect HP as a responsible and global corporate citizen of good standing. When purchasing media for use in communicating HP messages, we generally look for where are core target is and where we will garner the highest response rates. We do not sponsor any Air America media vehicles, rather we were running spot radio commerials on affiliates of the network. All radio ads have been pulled from this network and we will not be running commercials with them in the future. HP is mindful in avoiding editorial content that could be seen as sensationalized or strongly biased.
I appreciate your input and will continue to monitor our media purchasing procedures in the future. Thank you.

Frankenfreude ping.

"We are not hemorraging money. In fact we are crushing Limbaugh in ratings. His stomach is burning in hell at this moment, lifting a plesent smell to Allah's nose."
:-)
I'm betting he wasn't home schooled. Grammatical blooooopers aside, his syntax is more strained than Gerber's peas.
My thought exactly. This sounds like it was translated from another language!
Lets see you or me make a coherent sentence with our feet held to the fire for a stupid, stupid, stupid media purchase. I forgot to end the sentence in a preposition, and I really wanted to.

So other people are already doing Frankenfreude lists? That's good. I was only going to start one since I hadn't gotten wind of a Error America list.
Could take a court order to get them pulled. That's what GM threatened to do.
Grammar, HP, Air America... in reverse order of suckiness.
OK, to be fair, I have a couple of HP printers that have been fabulous workhorses. Not too crazed about their computers though.
I don't really know who else is keeping lists. I just pinged a couple of Freepers that I could remember who seem to be all over the Err America threads. If nothing else, they'll know who keeps them, if anyone.
Why would anybody actually advertise on a liberal station. Their listeners aren't buyers--they expect stuff for "free" because it guarantees it right there in the Constitution.
Well, just for them (HP) sponsoring this piece of crap show just for a while, I will never buy a HP printer or computer....
The air time is probably available REAL CHEAP!
Don't do that!!!! Mikey Dell may be a successful computer peddler but he is also a bare assed gun grabber. In other words, a garden variety rootless cosmopolitan with a bankroll, an elitist attitude problem and demonstrated contempt for certain God given rights which happen to be protected by the Constitution. The kind of person who would have no trouble having a beer with George Soros or John Kohn/Kerry or Schmucky Chucky Shumer. . I have high hopes that Madame Carly is going to whip his sorry little butt. BUY HP!!!! And speaking of successful entrepreneurs with the name of Mike, where does Mike Dillon get those women?????? [The Blue Press cover girls for May and June 2004] Told my wife that Miss June 2004 pulled up in the driveway today in her Mustang convertible, [while I was pulling the blades off the mower deck] and my wife said Right, and what have you been smoking?
HP's CEO is a hottie too.

My brother wasted his money on 2 Dells in less than 3 years. Both crashed and burned and were junked. Went to a local computer builder and had an awesome one custom made to his specs. For less than dell big time.
This is the'new' HP...was not always so. Did you know that Dave Packard, HP co-founder, was deputy to Secretary of Defense in the Nixon administration.

I don't know about that, but I find the tone and response very encouraging. I say good one, HP!
NOT!
I'm betting it was written by a committee of lawyers.
