Winding up a visit from my wacko Liberal older Brother this weekend, and boy, does he have an incredible NEW alert from Liberal radio.
It seems that our President has made it LAW that ALL Vietnam Vets, even up to age 65, are now eligible to be drafted back into the military to be sent to the Middle East. Yes yes.......the last time I saw him it was the children, male and female, who were about to be "drafted" even though his girl is 32 and his boy is 25, and partially handicapped. Yes, sez he, Bush is going to draft them both. Now the age has been expanded to men and women UP TO age 65. Since big Bro is 62, he has a real reason to worry about this (he thinks).
I told him he needs to find a new radio station. He swears that EVERYBODY knows this, and it's ALL OVER THE NEWS, an assertion which I find amusing, since my radio runs for easily 12 hours a day.
So be afraid, be very afraid. We're ALL gonna be drafted, up to age 65, of course. Manditory service, front lines in Iraq, cannon fodder. That's the ONLY way to win the war, according to Big Bro and his NPR latenight stations.
I actually think there might be some adult beverages involved here.

Knowing the leftist mind like I do their whole lives are based on a guilt complex. They always manage to blame themselves about things that are out their control but they blame everyone else for the things that they can control.

Troops need to be entertained and recreated. Inside 3 months I will turn that sand pit into a Club Med and have it making a profit to boot.

If Janus F'n Kerry becomes president in November, this conservative isn't contributing ANYTHING to the war effort after November. I'll let the Blue Zones do the fighting.

Just imagine if this were true? We would have an army larger than the population of Iraq. Now, that could provide security! This is a silly as the rumor I heard that all doctors would be drafted to serve in Government Clinics by Hillary--They would pull down officers pay and could not be sued! We would have free health care for all!!!
Sad he doesn't realize all Americans have already been drafted into the war on terrorism.

What is funny is that the anti-war left is now wringing their hands over two proposals in Congress concerning the draft. Only one problem...actually two...
There are only two "draft" proposals in the works in Congress according to Thomas Legislation, S89 and HR163. Both are for drafting those between 18 and 26 to serve a period of 2 years, barring exemptions for high school students and hardship/disability. Conscientious objectors can be exempt from combat duty. HR163 was submitted by Charles Rangel...a DEMOCRAT! S89 is was submitted by Senator Fritz Hollings...another DEMOCRAT!

It's been rough. My brother has gone so far, and is so vocal that it has damaged our relationship. Liberals in general, and my brother in particular love conspiracies. It's really scary to see an otherwise bright individual go so far toward irrationality.
Too True. We are all soldiers now, like it or not. We are all targets of terrorism just because we are Americans. Old Osama's been busy in other parts of the world but--don't hold your breath. These bad apples will be back with new horrible ways to kill people right here in the US of A. Liberal, Conservative, Middle of the roaders, Commies and American Nazi's--It doesn't mean anything to them--we are all targets to be killed for Allah. We got to work together as Americans if we are to win our safety.
