Tinfoil hats needed here: my Lib Brother's latest obsession [vanity]
5-24-04 | EA

Posted on 05/24/2004 9:10:47 AM PDT by EggsAckley

Winding up a visit from my wacko Liberal older Brother this weekend, and boy, does he have an incredible NEW alert from Liberal radio.

It seems that our President has made it LAW that ALL Vietnam Vets, even up to age 65, are now eligible to be drafted back into the military to be sent to the Middle East. Yes yes.......the last time I saw him it was the children, male and female, who were about to be "drafted" even though his girl is 32 and his boy is 25, and partially handicapped. Yes, sez he, Bush is going to draft them both. Now the age has been expanded to men and women UP TO age 65. Since big Bro is 62, he has a real reason to worry about this (he thinks).

I told him he needs to find a new radio station. He swears that EVERYBODY knows this, and it's ALL OVER THE NEWS, an assertion which I find amusing, since my radio runs for easily 12 hours a day.

So be afraid, be very afraid. We're ALL gonna be drafted, up to age 65, of course. Manditory service, front lines in Iraq, cannon fodder. That's the ONLY way to win the war, according to Big Bro and his NPR latenight stations.

I actually think there might be some adult beverages involved here.

Hell no! I won't go! Oh. I got excited without good reason. I'm 68 so I guess I that lets me off the hook.

Sounds as though an anomaly occurred in your gene pool.

Well, it was the cover story in this month's edition of "High Times." Grassy Knoll Weekly is also covering it. I double checked my leather bound edition of "Oliver Stone's Guide to the NWO", and sure enough this has been in the works since the Mason's took over the country in 1953.

Fortunately, most of them, including my wing-nut sister, are too lazy to vote.
Oh yes, she hates President Bush, wonders why we "need" enemies, etc. but can't break away from Starbucks long enough to make it to the polls.

The reality is, they don't really want someone who doesn't want to serve. There are enough TRUE PATRIOTS out here to waste time on cowards like him.

LOL! Eggs, if you want to get a rise out of your brother, ask him: "What makes you think they'd want YOU??"

Well bless his lil' heart.

Heheheheh. Thank you for that. It was one of my Alabama mom's favorite phrases when talking about her son. I'd forgotten. Need to use it more.

Lookin' forward to it. I'm too old to volunteer; gettin' drafted is my only hope. Need to keep workin' out so I can keep up with them young whippersnappers.

Don't feel bad, my mom thinks we should give the US back to the indians ...

Yea, that would be a neat banner or sign at a demonstration: "US out of North America NOW!!!"

That's eggsackley what I've done. And that includes the denizens of FR. What a pleasure to come home today and find all these responses validating my sanity.

Heheh. Thanks, Bro!

I have a younger liberal brother. I was listening to Drudge lastnight. The new eco-disaster movie that the Dems are supposed to rally around.

I think a great name for the tinfoil Democrats should be the

ART BELL DEMOCRATS. Do you think it will catch on.

It covers the weird of the eco-socialists, the conspiracy theorists, the one world socialists, the alien abduction democrats..

The Prez can call out the militia just by declaring an emergency.

United States Code > TITLE 10 > Subtitle A > PART I > CHAPTER 13 > Sec. 311.

(a)
The militia of the United States consists of all able-bodied males at least 17 years of age and, except as provided in section 313 of title 32, under 45 years of age who are, or who have made a declaration of intention to become, citizens of the United States and of female citizens of the United States who are members of the National Guard.

My mother in-law is 63, so she just makes the cut. We will wrap this thing up in no time with her on the front lines. Let her be a guard at Abu Garib or any other jail, heck let her interogate Saddam. In no time they will be singing like canaries just to shut her the hell up.

Just imainge a stong Chicago-accented heavy smoker voice talking to you like you are deaf and can't speak English. This is how she talks to everyone, so I can't imagine how she loud and slow she would talk to people who actually can't or speak very little English.

Well, I guess that's one way to deal with the unemployed, outsourced tech workers...

Well, the draft idea was actually floated by Democrats - I first heard it from Charlie Rangel - but hey, I think it's a great idea! If the Navy could stand taking my sorry a$$ back in uniform I'd volunteer for Kerry's boat. I figure it'd be a short deployment and I'd get to see a gen-yoo-wine war hero in action...

Is Big Bro single? We could get him together with my mother (also 62) who tends toward the delusional and paranoia. Perhaps they could get a discount on psychiatric services.
