COMMAND CONFIDENCE Kerry staff: "Unfit not a problem, media is committed to seeing us win")
THE SPECTATOR ^ | 8/18/04 | WASHINGTON PROWLER

Posted on 08/10/2004 3:12:23 AM PDT by Liz

According to a Kerry campaign source, senior campaign advisers tasked two Washington-based campaign staffers to vet the recently published Unfit for Command.

"The purpose was to compare what that book had with what we had on file from Senator Kerry," says the campaign source, who said that the research project developed more than 75 instances where Kerry's recollections, previous remarks, or writings conflicted with the book's reporting.

"We took some of the most glaring examples, like the Christmas in Cambodia story, and presented them to senior staff, and we assume that those things were put in front of Senator Kerry," says the source. "We haven't heard a word about it. All we were told is that it was being taken care of."

The campaign source said that the book was not considered a "serious" problem for the campaign, because, "the media wouldn't have the nerve to come at us with this kind of stuff," says the source.

"The senior staff believes the media is committed to seeing us win this thing, and that the convention inoculated us from these kinds of stories. The senior guys really think we don't have a problem here."

David Corn just had a baby.

So that's where the book Children of the Corn came from. Well, all I can tell you is it scared the snotaroo out of me.

WHAT AN EYE-OPENER! Yet another question for the Democrats. Wish someone important would be given this page in a TV interview, asked to read the Communist Party's goals and tell where the Democrat party's differ!

Among the millions of idiocies I caught the following:

solidarity against war and imperialist globalization

Wouldn't that be mutually exclusive? If you stick flowers out of your gun barrels, you'd be overtaken by dictators in 2.5 seconds. The little boy who whimpers when the bully walks by is the one who will get beat up.

###Kerry's a patrician twit###

I do believe there are some Monty Python skits with John Cleese doing the patrcian twit.

But I would guess that now Cleese is a Hollywood leftie, and not inclined to have his work used to mock Kerry.

I agree. It is the critical test. So far, the media has failed the test...even Fox. But last night on Brit Hume's show, the "All Stars" (mainly Fred Barnes, of course) started to make a comeback. Barnes made the point that Kerry has based his whole campaign, his whole argument as to why he should be president, on his three-plus months in Vietnam. Kerry, standing before the convention, saluting, saying he was "ready for duty," has invited this kind of scrutiny of his record in Vietnam. If it's proven that he really wasn't much of a hero, his main argument for being elected president crumbles.

I'm sending another 50-bucks to the SwiftBoatersforTruth.

I saw that earlier today and almost swooned in disbelief.

Have forwarded that Spectator article to FOX News. This needs coverage, especially in light of how disrespectfully Dubya was treated at that recent Hack Minority Journalist convention.

Donate to the Swift boat vets to counter the tie in with the mediots and Kerry

Why we should contribute to the Swift Boat Money raising for tv ads, based on comments from Kerri's staff"

It is obvious that ABCNNBC BS and O'Reilly are in the closet with Komrade Kerry's Klan, and they will never get the real story out.

For the real story to get out, the Swift Boat Vets need funding to buy tv ad time. That Funding must come people like Freepers.

"It is time that we fund these brave Navy warriors's effort to get the truth out to America, since the mediots will not do it!

To Donate to Swift Boat Vets

$100 via my credit card is now in their advertising account.

Botox Malfunction: Presidential Hopeful's Eyebrows Stuck

Presidential hopeful, John Kerry, found he needed to use
his fingers to raise his eyebrows after receiving an overdose
of Botox injected near his right temple. Campaign staffers
close to Kerry joked that he would now have a "permanent
salute."

So that's where the book Children of the Corn came from.

LOL! And even though it usually takes nine months, I expect Corn to have another 'delivery' the next time he has a face off with Horner. Truth doesn't seem to agree with David.
