Shot Fired Into GOP Headquarters

September 2, 2004

BREAKING NEWS: 2 Dozen Bush Supporters Were Inside Huntington Building

A shot was fired at the Republican Party headquarters in Huntington Thursday night, while two dozen supporters of George W. Bush watched him accept his party's nomination on television.

Huntington police said reports came in about 10:30 p.m. from the building on 4th Avenue at 14th Street. One bullet hole could be seen in a large glass window, through a sign that said marriage is between "One Man, One Woman."

Police said they had not found bullet fragments inside the headquarters and had no way of knowing what type of weapon was used.

Eyewitnesses told 13 News they heard a loud bang but weren't sure what had happened. One woman said she found pieces of glass on her neck and shoulders.

Tune in to 13 News Friday morning for more on this story.

Somehow I hope that Wisconsin's population is a little more civil than this.

We'll get plenty of chances to find out over the next 60 days.

Actually your comparison is at best juvenile at worst offensive.

Comparing the violent actions of politically motivated individuals to the state sponsored pogrom of 1938 is to greatly magnify the importance of the current event and belittle the suffering of Germany's Jews.

It is important to pay close attention to those willing to committ political violence, but comparing them to the Nazis (as the DIMS are quick to do themselves) shows either ignorance of the past or a tendency to hyperbole which is a sign of irresponsibility.

My thoughts on the subject....:

This clearly prvoes the Democrat party is indeed a criminal enterprise that is willing to do all it can even to the detrement of this country to reacquire power.

I would urge everyone to ask themselves given what's going on with all of the speeches by Zell Miller being reffered to as "hate speech" by John Edwards and the MSM if they are stupid enough to trust the Democrats with their civil rights. What's going to happen to anyone who criticizes John Kerry or his policies if he's elected President and the Democrats gain both houses of Congress. How will his administration react towards those who criticize him and/or question his policies.

Is this the America we want to live in? I know I don't want to live in it.
Regards.

Come on, there's no proof that this was a Democrat. There are dozens of anti-American organizations totally outside of the Democrat party which would like to see us at each other's throats.

This may well have been a sneaky al Qaeda operative.

We have no interest in helping them along, but I'll tell you, some extremely violent organizations would love nothing better than to convince us to lose our tempers.

Also, do not discount the possibility of wet work done by an anti-gun group. I'm not saying that it's likely, but it could happen. What better to trigger RINO support for draconian gun control measures such as the AWB renewal than to see their outposts struck by a bullet here and there?

Ladies and gentlemen, look before you leap on this.

I suspect a Heinz deep cover operation emerging. Hey those demo-commies will do anything to get in the White House. I hope they find the perp and his friends. I think the homo M.O. is just a deception, for the real culprits Democratic sponsored terrorism agents. Hunt them down ,string them up and let Satan welcome them to the real DNC Headquarters. Comparing Democrats to Nazis (National socialist German workers party) is completely accurate. I would suggest that YOU look back through history and do a true compare and contrast.

It's fun to do that sometimes, and I even point out the similarities between their positions now and then -- especially when they're accusing us of being so. But really at a time like this it offers no improvement to the situation. It's best for us to discuss the opposing party as misguided.

Remember, enemies beyond our borders win when we abandon our commitment to the rule of law, campaign period traditions, and the electoral process.

The Dems are now shooting at Republicans.

They only way to get a Republican to vote Democrat is to kill them.

Local Republicans will respond with measured civility.

They will find the sob and string him up from a tree.

Likely, the Courts would consider this to be "protected free speech."

That's already the case. If it wasn't, we'd already be shooting back.

I think if there was an anti-RKBA motive behind this shot, it would have gone into a 'rat HQ, thus guaranteeing massive MSM coverage.

But I agree, we must always be careful to look for false motives and double or triple plays in such incidents.

If the alleged shooter is named Jimmy Shifflett, I'll be worried.
