A real man’s sausage fry (vanity)

A real man’s sausage fry

This is not for the faint hearted or politically correct.

Take half an onion and slice it thin. Also take several garlic cloves and smash them. Put the onion and garlic in a pan and cook it up with some butter or oil. better yet use lard! Add some pieces of bacon and or salt pork and cook everything until the onions start to brown and the bacon gets crispy. When the pan starts to take some color add about a cup of un drained sauerkraut, some salt and pepper, caraway seeds, thyme, some chopped up apple, a dab of tomato sauce, and about a quarter to half a can of your favorite beer. You can also add some shredded potato – this will add some body to your dish. To this add either some knockwurst, or bratwurst, Polish Kielbasa, game sausage, or hot dogs. Do not add Italian sausage or seafood sausage. Cook everything together until the liquid starts to evaporate and the sausages start to take on some color. Add a little bit more beer if the pan starts to get too brown. Oh, and be sure to cook this all rapidly over a very high heat.

Make a sauce for this by combining a tablespoon of curry powder with a teaspoon of paprika. Dissolve this by diluting it in some beer or water and then add as much ketchup as you like. This is an authentic Berliner curry ketchup sauce that is immensely popular all over Germany and is served on bratwurst.

Drink beer with this. Burp.

Afterwards, battle the forces of evil, race fast cars, shoot targets, jump out of airplanes, watch James Bond movies or war movies, build a log cabin, and drink Alka-Seltzer. Yeehaw!

This conservative man cooks, but I'm not sure that's what this is.

Yeah, we cook, but this sure seems like an awful lot of trouble for leftover cow/pig/donkey/camel/orangutan/armadillo/goat/whatever else they scrape off the slaughterhouse floor. Boil 'em, eat 'em. You wanna get fancy, grill a steak.

I cook when my wife is away. I recently tried to make a pie and I'll share the EASY recipe with you.

melt 8 cups of real butter
add 1 cup of sugar and some red food coloring
pour mixture into an Oreo cookie crust
place in refrigerator until firm
Slice and enjoy.

Sauerkraut is an unforgivable substance.

"Leave out the sauerkraut please."
You'll miss out on the musical accompaniment then.

Tell me this isn't real!

Actually some of it looks pretty interesting. I'd go for Bavarian sauerkrout, though, and leave out the tomato sauce, ketchup, curry, paprika, potatoes, and beer. ;-) Which leaves sauerkraut, bacon, garlic, onions, apples (?), and kielbasa. *muses*

Ahhh, a curry wurst.... one of the best fast foods on earth, period. (Some areas use red wurst instead of brautwurst.)

LOL! It's a variation of my famous "Easy Butter Flavored Crisco Pie" recipe. In that one you just replace the butter with Crisco and skip the refrigeration - but it usually caused dysentery.

As for the pictures, I called the SOB before posting this reply, and he promised to get them to me soon. We'll see.

Leave out the sauerkraut please.

My wife is from Germany and even they don't like it straight out of the jar. They cook it with a little apple or pineapple juice first. Yum.
