O"Reilly Wants President Bush to Apologize Friday Night
Me

Posted on 10/07/2004 10:41:05 AM PDT by JonDavid

Bill O'Reilly suggested today on his radio show that President Bush should apologize at the Presidential debate Friday for no Iraq WMD. If the President Bush did this in the way that O'Reilly wants him to, the President would be making a major gaffe. I could see the sound bites. President Bush has NOTHING TO APOLOGIZE FOR. Also, O'Reilly says that Bush has to clearly win Friday or it’s over. He keeps on saying that the race is tied. IMHO, O'Reilly is spinning on several fronts: At the very least he is trying to get Kerry on his show, so he is pandering. The Electoral College Polls shows the President with a sizable lead. National Polls mean little. O'Reilly knows if the President says I am sorry for Iraq it would be political suicide. Again, think of the soundbite the Democrats would have. This would help Kerry. The President on Friday night needs to address Kerry’s record and recent Global Test statements. So why O’Reilly on his radio program the day before the Presidential debates is highlighting the Iraq WMD instead of focusing on Kerry’s record? He is doing this because that’s the only hope Kerry has. If O’Reilly was really a no spinner and WAS LOOKING OUT FOR YOU he would have STRESSED SUBSTANCE OVER STYLE and endorsed President Bush after Kerry’s Global Test and other policy statements after the last debate. So deep down, O'Reilly is rooting for Kerry. The latest Iraq WMD report clearly shows t that Saddam’s endgame was to get the Sanctions lifted and then restart his WMD programs. According to the report, SADDAM WANTED NUCLEAR WEAPONS!! It’s the intent. That’s why Saddam had to be removed form power. I also, believe that the WMD were moved into other countries, like Syria.

Is Kerry going to be on? O'Reilly said last night (pre-show) that someone said Kerry wanted to be on The Factor. But I fell asleep before anything more was said. ;-)

Though since O'R's been saying for ages how he wants Kerry on, it's hard to picture Kerry being too shy and self-effacing to take him up on it!

It's degrading to President Bush....especially when he did nothing wrong. He owes no one an apology IMHO.

I refused to watch Fox during the GOP convention because everytime I wandered over there, Susan Estrich's ugly mug was on the screen. I watched the convention, and am watching the debates, on CSPAN.

Why would this even be suggested by O'Reilly? Saddam told his own first reports he had the weapons to create a deterrent against Iran. Our intelligence may have been accurate based on what everyone in Iraq thought to be the truth.

Like John Gibson said yesterday--If we hadn't have invaded Iraq, Saddam would still be in power. Well, Saddam is STILL ALIVE and WE HAVE HIM--so, if we were wrong, we could just put him back in charge. Give him the money we're using to rebuild and let him get back to the great job he was doing. We just apologize to the guy who was undeservingly removed from office. Why prosecute him for war crimes if he was the one who was wronged?

So, why is no one begging for Saddam's reinstatement?

Bill is a lying, liberal, butt-faced, puke. I quit watching him long, long ago. I started reading his first book and threw it in the trash can where it belonged. My wife had bought both of his books for me. I tossed the second one at the same time without cracking it.

O'Reilly needs to GROW UP!

He's got the typical social LIBERAL mentality. He's soft on crime, doesn't endorse capital punishment, defends homos but wants to shield kids from them and on and on it goes.

Why won't kerry say he is sorry? The last that I had heard was that 180000 Viet Nam veterans had committed suicide in part because of people like kerry. At least Jane Fonda said she was sorry that she had hurt people. How many deaths and suicides is kerry accountable for?

Can you elaborate on this a bit? What have they said?

Thx

Didn't O'Reilly have this argument with MIchael Moore on his show? Moore said Bush lied. O'Reilly said something like, given the intelligence, at most it was a mistake and not intentional, therefore no need to apologize.

Good point. Is Kerry going to apologize for voting for the Iraq war resolution based on the threat that Saddam posed?

O'RiledUp is only saying this because he's already gotten his interview with President Bush. He'd be saying stuff about Kerry if he'd already gotten his Kerry interview. Till then, he'll contiue to suck up to Kerry.

O is transparent.

I am here to apologize for buying two of O'Reilly's books.

I have seen the light, recognize that I was suckered, and will not again be so trusting of anyone who OPINES.
