Vice President's Wife Accuses Kerry of 'Tawdry Political Trick' in Mentioning Mary Cheney's Homosexuality

MOON TOWNSHIP, Pa., Oct. 13 -- Lynne V. Cheney, wife of Vice President Cheney, accused John F. Kerry Wednesday night of "a cheap and tawdry political trick" and said he "is not a good man" after he brought up their daughter's homosexuality at the final presidential debate.
Mary Cheney, one of the vice president's two daughters and an official of the Bush-Cheney campaign, has been open about her lesbian status. The candidates were asked if they believe homosexuality is a choice, and Bush did not mention Mary Cheney. Then Kerry said, "If you were to talk to Dick Cheney's daughter, who is a lesbian, she would tell you that she's being who she was, she's being who she was born as."[snip]

Bingo! It was a cheap shot to get Christians to not vote for Bush, and that is all it was. It will fail miserably in that regard, and will succeed in getting many gays to not vote for Kerry.
All politics aside, Bush is so much a better man than Kerry, the contrast in the two men is obvious. Only those blinded by Bush hatred cannot see it, or they do not care about character at all.
Kerry is a slime. When he made that comment about Cheney's daughter I immediately looked at my wife and told her I thought that was mean spirited. It was just an attempt to get under Bush's skin.
However, as it turned out Bush came out looking calm and collected despite Kerry. I really noticed Bush was toned down, yet confident...his best debate performance of the three.
Let's recap, shall we? They've exploited the handicapped with the unconscionable campaign flyer in Tennessee, they've exploited the unfortunate death of Christopher Reeves, and now they've exploited the sexual orientation of the Vice President's daughter. Truly a class act those Democrats. Statesmen to the end. The acquisition of power obviously trumps decency and honor, to say they have no shame is both stating the obvious and an understatement.
It would be a big gaffe if the MSM would give it traction. Because they won't, it'll end up under the same rug as the documents in Sandy Berger's trousers and Jamie Gorelick's "wall" between FBI and CIA. Expect the NY Times to trumpet sKerry's debate sweep tomorrow.
Several of the FOX regulars said he should apologize. Dick Morris said the attack was "vicious" and indicative of a coordinated attack.
I can't believe anybody would be surprised at anything sKerry has to say. People, it is gonna get a lot worse over the next 2 weeks.
What does sKerry have against lesbians anyway? I LOVE LESBIANS!!! Even though I am a str8 male, I think I might have some lesbian tendencies myself.
Staying home? Do they usually vote democrat or Republican?

The were at a debate party held at the Embassy Suites hotel in Moon, PA. This is about 10 miles west of Pittsburgh.
I now wish I had tried to go. I found Kerry's remark about their daughter worse than disgusting.

This campaign would end tomorrow with an ad done by the Cheney fmily, discussing how violated they feel by Mr. Kerry invoking Mary and speaking for her.
I'm frantically trying to recall if any southern belle ever made that remark in reference to me. Oh, the incredible things I learn on Free Republic that I'd otherwise never know.

I honestly think I'm past being surprised at anything that comes form these people. They are lowlife, hate-mongering scumsucking blowhards without an ounce of substance.
