"Team America" A Freeper Review

Posted on 10/15/2004 12:40:28 PM PDT by Shortwave

Just got back from the theater where I watched the first showing in Maine. I thought I would share my impressions with the Freeper Nation

First, this movie is NOT FOR CHILDREN! It is riddled with filthy language, and sexually explicit scenes.

O.K. Now that being said, what a great movie slamming the liberal left, and the absolute stupidity to the Hollywood elite!

The movie starts with Team America pretty much destroying the Eiffel Tower, Arc De Triumph, and the Louvre as the team kills the middle-eastern terrorist and rescues Paris from “WMD’s.”

Kim Jong-Il is the archenemy who is the mastermind behind the complete destruction of the world, spreading WMD’s to various cities with the help of the “Dirkistan” terrorists.

In order to fight the terrorist, Team America employs Gary the actor to penetrate the terrorist cells to get information.

Great songs including, “America! F*&% YA!”, “Freedom Isn’t Free; It cost $1.05” and unforgettable serenade by Kim Jong-Il called “I’m Lonely.”

Some more memorable moments is Hans Blix warning Jong-Il that “we will send you a nasty letter”, Michael Moore, called a “Socialist Weasel” in the movie, as a homicide bomber, the use of cats as panthers, and Alec Baldwin’s “F.A.G. Way” speech at a Hollywood rally that clearly mocks the U.N. That is right, no liberal stone unturned!

The movie absolutely RIPS Hollywood including Matt Damon, portrayed as an imbecile, Charlie Sheen, Tim Robbins, Helen Hunt, Samuel L. Jackson, Danny Glover, Sean Penn, and many others.

There were a few scenes that involving the hero of the movie that is very gratuitous, such as the sex scene, puking in the alley, and how he has to win back the trust of the Team America leader.

Overall, the movie is great and very cleverly done! I was very impressed and it is a very, very funny movie. At the same time, the world destruction scene is very poignant and the use of human anatomy as metaphors to explain why the F.A.G. way of thinking is deadly wrong for the world. An absolute killer movie, mocking liberals. A Freeper “Thumbs Up!”

A foot note, Phil Hendrie plays the voice of the I.N.T.E.L.L.I.G.E.N.C.E. computer.

Holy S**t, this movie was OFF THE WALLS Hilarious.

As a committed film fanatic as well as a political conservative, this election year has been an unusually queasy affair for me. The radical Hollywood left has finally started to infect their work with their nutjob politics, from Outfoxed to Manchurian Candidate to that hideous Goering-esque propoganda Farenheit 9/11. This has caused significant damaging to the industry I love in the hearts of patriotic American moviegoers. Here, Parker and Stone stand up and say "That's enough".

Standing up for America (while lobbing a few amusing jokes our way as well, i.e., that sappy patriotic faux-country tune), P & S turn a puppet action movie into a sharp, biting, crude, vulgar, and dead-on gut-busting assault on the left-wing Hollywood cronies they have to deal with each day.

Watch as the movie takes truths to their absurd extremes (just like the anti-censorship, anti-Moral Majority and anti-Saddam Hussein South Park movie did). Michael Moore has expressed sympathy for anti-American terrorists, so Team America makes him a fat, slobby, suicide bomber. Matt Damon, Susan Sarandon, Danny Glover, Tim Robbins, Helen Hunt, Sean Penn and ringleader Alec Baldwin are all painted as unintelligent, foolish actors who actively side with vicious NK dictator Kim Jong-Ill against America, for reasons between egotism, ignorance, and socialist sympathy.
I took great delight seeing their characters roasted, shot, or eaten alive at the climax.

The visual jokes never let up, some crude and ugly, some light on their feet, but nearly all of them hit. Plus, the Soundtrack is a real keeper, with amazingly goofy yet hummable tunes like "Pearl Harbor sucked, and I miss you" and "Alec Baldwin is worthless".

Every Republican filmlover with a strong stomach and a taste for the ridiculous should see this movie.
Oh, and..."America, F**K YEAH!".

Just saw it...in NYC....on the Upper West Side....in Imax.

The entire place was rolling in laughter. Sidesplitting laughter. Stay through the credits to hear the extra Alec Baldwin finale not in the movie.

PDA speech was brilliant

The final speech about D****, P*****, and A******* pretty much summed up my feelings about republicans, democrats, and terrorists. Loved this movie. And when I saw the previews for it I thought it was going to be some more hollywood propaghanda. Quite the contrary though. =) Amazing.

As posted earlier, I was supposed to go to a play last night with my wife and friends of ours. I used my superior mental powers to convince them to scrap the play and go see Team America!

I laughed so hard I cried.

There was a "cliffhanger" episode where they were going to reveal the identity of Cartman's father.

Hasn't it been revealed that Mr. Garrison is Cartman's father?

No, actually, Mrs. Cartman is a hermaprodite (sp?), and she's actually Cartman's father. The announcer was going to try starting another cliff-hanger, asking who Carman's real mother is, and that was pretty much the end of it! lol
