Just got back from the theater where I watched the first showing in Maine. I thought I would share my impressions with the Freeper Nation
First, this movie is NOT FOR CHILDREN! It is riddled with filthy language, and sexually explicit scenes.
O.K. Now that being said, what a great movie slamming the liberal left, and the absolute stupidity to the Hollywood elite!
The movie starts with Team America pretty much destroying the Eiffel Tower, Arc De Triumph, and the Louvre as the team kills the middle-eastern terrorist and rescues Paris from “WMD’s.”
Kim Jong-Il is the archenemy who is the mastermind behind the complete destruction of the world, spreading WMD’s to various cities with the help of the “Dirkistan” terrorists.
In order to fight the terrorist, Team America employs Gary the actor to penetrate the terrorist cells to get information.
Great songs including, “America! F*&% YA!”, “Freedom Isn’t Free; It cost $1.05” and unforgettable serenade by Kim Jong-Il called “I’m Lonely.”
Some more memorable moments is Hans Blix warning Jong-Il that “we will send you a nasty letter”, Michael Moore, called a “Socialist Weasel” in the movie, as a homicide bomber, the use of cats as panthers, and Alec Baldwin’s “F.A.G. Way” speech at a Hollywood rally that clearly mocks the U.N. That is right, no liberal stone unturned!
The movie absolutely RIPS Hollywood including Matt Damon, portrayed as an imbecile, Charlie Sheen, Tim Robbins, Helen Hunt, Samuel L. Jackson, Danny Glover, Sean Penn, and many others.
There were a few scenes that involving the hero of the movie that is very gratuitous, such as the sex scene, puking in the alley, and how he has to win back the trust of the Team America leader.
Overall, the movie is great and very cleverly done! I was very impressed and it is a very, very funny movie. At the same time, the world destruction scene is very poignant and the use of human anatomy as metaphors to explain why the F.A.G. way of thinking is deadly wrong for the world. An absolute killer movie, mocking liberals. A Freeper “Thumbs Up!”
A foot note, Phil Hendrie plays the voice of the I.N.T.E.L.L.I.G.E.N.C.E. computer.

When ever my wife wants to rent a movie I tell her it must contain at least 2 of the following, "nudity, adult language, and violence."
I can't wait to see this movie! Hubby and I were going to go today but the baby is sick :-( Maybe next weekend.
I'm glad to see that this movie is listed everywhere as the biggest movie this week! I also saw the 60 minutes II interview of Parker and Stone on Wednesday (thanks to another Freeper for the heads up) and they were openly trashing the Hollyweird Libs, on See-BS! I couldn't beleive my ears. I paraphrase here where they actually compared Sean Penn to "you know how a dog, whether it's a German Shepard or a toy poodle, thinks it's a big wolf? Well, that's what these Hollywood activists think they are in terms of importance." Like I said, I paraphrased but you get the idea. IT WAS PRICELESS.
I've read that Matt Stone and Trey Parker "outed" themselves as Republicans long ago. I think I will take the rare step to pay money and see this movie.

The makers of the movie were on Anderson Cooper on CNN and they said "DON'T BRING CHILDREN" to see this. They fully admit it is not for kids and they don't want people to bring kids to see it.

The whole idea of how they almost got an X rating because of a sex scene between PUPPETS with their strings clearly visibile is one of the most hilarious parts of this entire debut.
YOu can bet the explicit puppet sex will be restored on the DVD.
I definitely want to see this movie .. if only to cheer when the Michael Moore puppet gets blown to smithereens....
