Mystery Surrounds Kerry's Navy Discharge
An official Navy document on Senator Kerry's campaign Web site listed as Mr. Kerry's "Honorable Discharge from the Reserves" opens a door on a well kept secret about his military service.
The document is a form cover letter in the name of the Carter administration's secretary of the Navy, W. Graham Claytor. It describes Mr. Kerry's discharge as being subsequent to the review of "a board of officers." This in it self is unusual. There is nothing about an ordinary honorable discharge action in the Navy that requires a review by a board of officers.

I noticed this article on the release date but it doesn't seem to resinate for some reason. From what I can gather from this article John Kerry's discharge was altered at some time after his service to be placed in a better light. This should be the October surprise if if could gain some footing to provoke the major media outlets to talk about it. What am I not seeing that allows this article to fall into the waste bin?

That the MSM wants Kerry to be elected at all cost and their visceral hatred of Bush will not allow for any questions about Kerry to see any light of day. Those that do make it out, Swifts and the like, are instantly call liars and partisan hacks..I think that about covers it.

If there is any truth to this article it could and should blow the lid off this election and send John Kerry's swiftboat to the bottom of the campaign Mekong Delta!
KAAAAABOOOOOM!!!
Maybe he will get a purple heart out of it.

The MSM just doesn't want to discuss it. I've rewritten to all the cable news about this and no reply. Even on the show Nightline, O'Neill brought this up but nothing further.

Amendment XIV, Section 3 of the Constitution of the United States: No person shall be a Senator or Representative in Congress, or elector of President and Vice President, or hold any office, civil or military, under the United States, or under any State, who, having previously taken an oath, as a member of Congress, or as an officer of the United States, or as a member of any State legislature, or as an executive or judicial officer of any State, to support the Constitution of the United States, shall have engaged in insurrection or rebellion against the same, or given aid or comfort to the enemies thereof. But Congress may by a vote of two-thirds of each House, remove such disability.

"Senator Kerry of Massachusetts yesterday retreated from his earlier steadfast denials that he attended a meeting of Vietnam Veterans Against the War at which a plan to assassinate U.S. Senators was debated.
The reversal came as new evidence, including reports from FBI informants, emerged that contradicted Mr. Kerrys previous statements about the gathering, which was held in Kansas City, Mo. in November 1971.

I doubt there is anything really to this. I think you're barking up the wrong tree. Kerry is wrong for the Presidency more because of his lack of leadership in the Senate than because of his activity after Vietnam.
There is NO REASON why he would be given less than an Honorable discharge. I don't see that he did anything while in the service that would have earned him the ire of the Navy at the time. Whether we like it or don't, Kerry's statements after the war to the Senate and in demonstrations are protected speech.
We need to stick to politics here, not personal character assassination without real evidence. If we fail to do this, we will be no better than Michael Moore or others who claim Bush did cocaine. (There has been NO evidence that this was the case.)
Kerry has provided ample ammunition with his opposition to nearly every military activity since he joined the Senate. He made public statements to the press after nearly every one of those votes. He has claimed that we can go back to "a day when terrorism is just a nuisance" even though that day never was. This should be plenty.
I have said it before and I will say it again: we can oppose a candidate without having to demonize him. In all likelyhood, Kerry served with some degree of honor in Vietnam. Leave that alone. His weakness shows much better within his votes in the Senate. His lack of attendance. His lack of initiative, sponsoring nearly nothing of importance.
These are things Kerry is weak on. We should stick to that.

I can hope, but that would require someone to get out some many of the documents, say DRUDGE or someone, and they would have to be so overwhelming that the MSM could not cover them up...I still hold out hope, but it is fading like my Astros.

Did you guys hit Rush and Sean too?

There is one odd coincidence that gives some weight to the possibility that Mr. Kerry was dishonorably discharged. Mr. Kerry has claimed that he lost his medal certificates and that is why he asked that they be reissued. But when a dishonorable discharge is issued, all pay benefits, and allowances, and all medals and honors are revoked as well. And five months after Mr. Kerry joined the U.S. Senate in 1985, on one single day, June 4, all of Mr. Kerry's medals were reissued.
I believe they are laying the foundation for the GOP's "October Surprise". The case is very well presented and explains much about his multiple medal citations and other anomalies about his military service.
Good find.

Oh God, no. It's been hashed over till it's shredded. Do the search and don't read the articles but pore through the responses. That way you should be able to get a feel for the 100,000 members here...there are all kinds in every walk of life. Tread carefully, most of them will be significantly better informed than you or I.

I Believe you and like I said I am new but does this mean Kerry is untouchable? That is very scary! How do you fight the good fight when nothing in your arsenal is worthy ammunition against your foe? This is exactly why Sean Hannity was so pissed about on Tuesday.
To: TheForceOfOne
All of the media has it. They just chose to ignore it. Not enough conclusive evidence without Kerry's Navy records.

Thank you.
I googled but I didn't see this article. Speaking of google and again if this is old news to you all I apologize in advance but if you type in "Weapons of mass destruction" and hit the "I feel lucky button" you will believe google is not your friend.
