After today (10/29)...Now I'm calling it for Bush 350 to 188!

After the revelations of today, 10/29/04, where a US Army Major revealed that his unit had destroyed 250 tons of munitions at the Al QaQua facility, and after the latest Osama bin Laden video...I am revising my election prediction upward for Bush. I honestly believe that many more Americans will vote for Bush after Bin Laden spouted the Kerry/DNC/Michael Moore talking points, and after Kerry's knee jerk reation regarding the munitions have been wholly discredited.

My range in EVs has consistently been Bush with about 325 EVs, give or take a 25. Over the course of the week, I was leaning towards the lower number - a nice win with about 300 EVs.

Today I feel a bit better about it but not as ambitious as you are - I just reran the numbers based on polls and 'gut' and I have Bush winning 310 to Kerry's 228.

Lets just win this thing comfortably!

And what's really stupid is ACT pulled out of the Wolverine State thinking it was locked up for Kerry. A colossal error of judgment that will cost them dearly next Tuesday. Oh and I think we still have an outside shot of carrying Oregon, breaking the Democratic stranglehold on the Left Coast.

In any case I was looking at Jeff's map, and the only differences between my 310 and his 350 are his inclusions for Bush wins in NJ, PA, and Hawaii (40 EVs).

In any case, I don't see Bush winning all three (and in fact, my gut says that if he wins only one, it will be PA). Honestly, I don't see him willing any of those three.

Bush is still good for 310 EVs and the championship. :-)

I think it is possible for Bush to break 300, especially when you see the way the Democrats are scrambling to hang onto blue states like Hawaii and even New Jersey.

350 might be pushing it, but I would be cheering if it did happen. I hope that 300 EV's is theft-proof.
