Needed: Succinct rebuttals to liberal claims

I'm tired of trying to refute liberals' claims against George Bush and the U.S. with discussions based on logic. They don't listen.

We need a list of quick and easy one-liners that can get to the core of the issue and silence the liberals, or at least give them something to think about.

Here are a few liberalisms (in quotes) with a one-line rebuttal to each. Please add yours to the list.

"Bush started this war."

No, the terrorists did.

"It's like Japan attacked America, and then America attacked Mexico."

No, it's like Japan attacked the U.S., and the U.S. attacked Japan and Germany.

"Kerry will only tax the rich."

Consider yourself rich.
(Kerry thinks you are rich but he isn't.)

"Kerry is a war hero."

That's what the Communists in Vietnam are saying.

"It's my right to vote."

You have a right to vote one time, in one place, and only for yourself.

"so did kerry at one time or another, what's his current position on that?"

I've decided to stop talking sense to them. Why fight, join them on their level. It is so funny to watch their reactions. It is almost like they are on overload and ready to explode any second. Sadly, I don't think that one would work on a coworker who claimed "Bush is the reason why we were attacked on 9/11...We didn't have all these problems when Clinton was in charge...bin Laden liked Clinton."

You can't tax the rich. In a capitalist economy (which history proves is the only one that works) the "rich" control wages and prices (you may not like that, but it's better than government control of wages and prices).

So... if you tax the rich, the wages you get go down, and the prices you pay go up.

So... A tax on the rich is paid by you.

So... A tax on the rich is a tax on you.
