Tony says his sources are telling him this..

Holy crap! The Bush cabinet is under a purge!
Its a quagmire I tell ya! (sarcasm button off)
This is a job Rudy might find to his liking.
Ridge has said all along that he was going to leave. He has a child in college and wants to earn money.
I was wondering when this was coming!!
Rudy has gotta take this one!
There's no doubt that Rudy will be the new DHS.
This kind of turnover is rather normal. The only difference is Bush has apparently let everyone know that if they're planning to leave, he wants them to do it now, not six or eight months from now. He wants most of his second-term cabinet in place as he starts the second half.
Sounds good to me. I give him a lot of respect - even before 9/11, he transformed NYC from a filthy h*llhole into something much more decent. or better or worse, I think Rudy is too liberal on social issues to ever get nominated by the Republicans for President. But I'd feel safer with him in this post.
or = For
Zell Miller for Homeland Security Chief.
Nothing like having a former Marine in charge of security.
Maybe he will be able to convince W that until we secure the borders, there is no "homeland security!"
Semper Fi,
Kelly
Oh, I completely agree on Dubya's strategery. Just seems like folks are dropping like flies! I am so pleased that Condi is moving to Sec. of State.
Zell would be awesome as well..they would be committing hari-kari over at DU!
He is probably too liberal to get the GOP nomination. It's too bad because he's Hillary's worst nightmare in 2008.
Umm no.. Ever think Ridge is burnt out and wants to make some real money?
This stuff isn't new at all.
He would rather be in charge of partial delivery murder of children.
Agree.. Bush wants to hit the ground running, Not dropping 1 guy a month for the next year.
This is "Stay or Get Out" Week in the White House.
I heard the same thing -- if you are planning on leaving, now is the time and not in several months.
Think this is fantastic and now the Bush cabinet will reflect the President and his agenda.
Waiting for the Transportation Secretary to announce he is leaving next. We already heard Tommy Thompson was thinking of leaving.
