Boxer: I'll Call Condi a Liar Again

Sen. Barbara Boxer, D-Calif., said Sunday that when the full Senate debates the nomination of Dr. Condoleezza Rice to be Secretary of State on Tuesday, she intends to repeat charges that Rice deliberately misled the nation about weapons of mass destruction in Iraq.

"I will lay out again on the Senate floor [why] I do not believe [she] has been candid with the American people," Sen. Boxer told CNN's "Late Edition with Wolf Blitzer."

"[She's] gone on shows like yours and made statements that I don't think were true, or they were half-true, didn't tell the whole story, didn't level with the American people."

Reacting to criticism from White House chief of staff Andy Card, who called her attacks on Rice "petty politics" last week, the Marin County Democrat taunted, "Even though Andy Card would like me to go away. I'm not going to go away."

"[Rice] said things that were flat-out not true," Sen. Boxer continued. "When she said only one agency thought the aluminum tubes could not be used for nuclear weapons, that wasn't true."

As she did during last week's hearings, the Bush administration critic justified her personal attacks on Rice by saying that the Iraq war is especially important to Californians "because we've lost 25 percent of those who died in Iraq."

According to OpinionJournal.com, however, the actual proportion of deaths of U.S. troops from California is 11.5 percent.

Whoah, ho. Isn't that "misleading" on Boxer's part? Correct me if anyone remembers the details better, but wasn't Condi talking (correctly) about one intelligence agency, that at State? Isn't the additional "agency" Boxer refers to the Department of Energy? Do they have an intelligence agency? Maybe they issued a separate report, but was it a separate opinion (or did State rely on Energy for their own conclusions)?

Time to go on the offense. Run ads in California inner cities and others around the world saying that liberal Democrats are out of touch and really care more about grandstanding than the affairs of black Americans. In the same ad, run a bio of Condi talking about her faith and her career. The Dems will be crying foul in moments, while at the same time they will be putting a muzzle on Boxer the vicious.

Am I a vast right wing conspipratorial paranoid to think that the world wide and American left in conjunction with the Euro's and Islamofascists wants us and our beliefs destroyed? What do these people want? What do they think will be the results of their actions? It's hard for me to believe that they're anything but traitors or insane.

I agree completely. I would add a slight correction -- they are traitors AND insane. Boxer and the left care nothing for our great Republic. They HATE the U.S. as much as the terrorists. They are trying to destroy the U.S. from inside. I pray the American people soon will realize just how evil is the leftist.
