Anniversary of Ronald Reagan's 94th Birthday:
To honor President Ronald Reagan on the anniversary of his birthday, President George W. Bush has designated United States Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton to place a wreath on President Reagans gravesite on his behalf. Major General Timothy E. Donovan, Commanding General at Camp Pendleton, will conduct the ceremony, which will commence at 11:00 a.m. and will include a 21-gun salute. Camp Pendletons brass quintet will play music beginning at 10:45 a.m.
Following the ceremony, birthday cake will be served in the Librarys main lobby all day (while supplies last) and guests may sign memorial books that will be sent to the family.
All birthday-related events are free to attend; regular museum admission applies to visit the exhibit. All active military will be admitted into the museum for free on February 6th. Please bring current identification. Wednesday, February 9, 2005
First Day Issue Ceremony:
On February 9, 2005, the Ronald Reagan Library will hold a celebration commemorating the first day issue of the new Ronald Reagan postage stamp. The Library will be the only location that the public may purchase the stamp and receive a "first-day-of-issue" cancellation. The program will begin at 10:00 a.m., with stamps available for purchase beginning at 9:00 a.m. R.S.V.P.s are required to attend the program. Please call 805-522-2977.

Has the RR talking doll, calendars, quotes him at length.
Dead and buried Reagan's still a better President than a certain "bent one" could ever be.
God Bless you, Mr. President. Ronald Reagan was my favorite. Looks like he's President Bush's favorite, too. Ronald Reagan would be proud to see his vision continuing.
The USPS has a nice keepsake folio and first day cover to pre-order online (for those of us who can't get to the Reagan Library):

It might be worth it to go out and buy a sheet or two of this stamp and use it for your future mail.

And after Clinton came in, it happened all over again. Damn sad what has become of the Democrat party. They used to care about our military. They used to care about defending this nation! "Used to's" just don't cut it.
Did you see Brian Lamb's interview with Dubya on C-Span? Bush named Reagan as his "mentor" on concepts of freedom and liberty. (The interview is listed under
"recent programs" at http://c-span.org/) Worth the 20min.
First day of issue envelopes and the RR stamps can be ordered from the USPS at 1 - 800 - 782 - 6724 at a very reasonable price, plus $1 for postage.
