I suppose at the end of the day in the private sector one is answerable to shareholders and the bottom line is profit whereas in the public sector all you try to do is obtain more money from government whether it be local or national.

Yes we have had them quite a few years mainly in the London area, we don't have one in Ashford.

On the other hand we have plenty of other eating in and out places. Chinese, loads of Indian and of course Pizza Hut and Kentucky Fried Chicken (KFC) we actually have 3 Kentucky's and 3 MacDonald's in Ashford as you can see quite a strong American influence.

I had a similar problem with notepad the other day in just posting photos from Yahoo when I did preview all I had was boxes with the dreaded red x and that was because of extra spaces that notepad put in.

I had prepared the post earlier saved it to the hard disk and then called it up to post and boy was it a mess it took me quite a few minutes to edit all the extra spaces and characters out. I had not had that problem when doing the same thing with word. I thought this was very strange because if anything I would have thought notepad would have been less likely than word to have caused this as I thought notepad was just a text editor.

Had a sudden thought does notepad by default put hard spaces in and maybe I have word set not to put hard spaces in just a thought but that could be the problem.

When I mentioned it to my husband last night, that was what he said he thought could be the problem. He suggested I uncheck "wordwrap". But I don't know if that is going to solve the problem or not. I guess we'll see.

My little doxie has gotten something stuck in his paw and I think I am going to have to run him into the Vet. I am not good with doctoring my pets and he is not good about letting anyone touch his feet. So, I'll be back when I get him back home. Hopefully this won't be terribly traumatic for him (or me!).

My apology to you, Miss Billlie, for entirely missing your thread yesterday!
One of those 'on the road' days, and by the time I got groceries, tried a new recipe (good and easy one for salmon croquettes!), ate dinner and settled in at the computer and waded through the thread to the end...I was plumb tuckered.

Noting that Mama_Bear hinted she might play copy cat today, I gleefully pulled up her Bear Family Photo Album to gather ammo for today....last thing I 'membered before I went into hibernation...:))

Came to this morning with keys imprinted on my forehead, and saw I had slept 11 hours, stirring only once at 7!!

Sure enough, here was this!

You must be about a 7.5 which is the average shoe size now. Usually the ones I do find are made for the trendy teens. I REFUSE to wear the stupid looking things and torture my feet or my back. I wear my shoes until they are nearly falling apart as a result. I've even tried the high priced dept stores like Macy's, Dillars and Sears they start at 6 or 6.5. I sure can't afford Cook & Love who do carry small sizes, and where the average price is about $100.

Yes, he is fine now. I guess I panicked. I probably could have gotten the thorn out of his paw if I wasn't such a wimp. LOL.
