Some nearby residents were devastated when The Old Man fell. One woman said, "I grew up thinking that someone was watching over me. I feel a little less watched-over now." There are times when a dependable presence disappears. Something or someone we've relied on is gone, and our life is shaken. Maybe it's the loss of a loved one, or a job, or good health. The loss makes us feel off-balance, unstable. We might even think that God is no longer watching over us. But "the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous and His ears are open to their cry" (Psalm 34:15). He "is near to those who have a broken heart" (v.18). He is the Rock whose presence we can always depend on (Deuteronomy 32:4). God's presence is real. He continually watches over us. He is rock-solid. Anne Cetas
He always will be there; He watches over all His own To calm their anxious care. D. De Haan The question is not where is God, but where isn't He?

When my computer died I lost it, I had it saved and listened to it all the time, I need my fix. : )
(((HUGS)))Thanks for your tribute to the troops and for your constant support of them! God be with you and God bless the troops!
Oh, sorry Mayor, I do not have it loaded up.
Thank you for saying the pledge---I never get tired of seeing it or hearing it! It always makes me *tear* up. And thank you as always for the Word that you give us to remind us Whose we are.
How did your Father's Day worship service go? Ours was great-- two of the young fathers grilled weenies and hamburger patties (they volunteered!) and we had a cookout, and one of the young fathers was proclaimed Father of the Year. He is a policeman here and on the SWAT team.
This Wednesday I went to LTC Crowes wake.
It was very tough going, I had an easier time at my Mom's wake.
I introduced myself to his Mom and Dad, just saying.
I didn't know you son but he is a brother in arms and I want to Thank you.
He is a Hero to me and the rest of America.
His Dad started crying with my words of Thanks.
Then I saw Peggy LTC's sister. She saw me and gave me a big teary hug, she was so sad it hurt.
She Thanked me for my words, I just Thanked her for her brother.
I was in tears as I left. What a true Honor to go see him.
We must never forget! Never..
God Bless the family.
No---WE MUST NEVER FORGET!!!
