Supporters of U.S. Involvement in Iraq Plan Caravans to Texas

Move America Forward will be conducting the “You Don’t Speak for Me, Cindy” caravan beginning next week. It will feature military family members who have loved ones serving in the war against terrorism in Iraq or Afghanistan. The delegation will be led by Deborah Johns of Marine Moms. (Her son has served in Operation Iraqi Freedom).

Main caravan leaves from San Francisco, California on Monday, August 22nd. Other caravans will depart from around the country. If you want to be part of a caravan, email us with your name and location you will depart from and we will include in our caravan coverage so people in your area can depart with you.

Everyone arrives in Crawford, Texas for a giant “We Support Our Troops AND Their Mission” Rally on Saturday, August 27, 2005.

If you have a loved one serving in Iraq or Afghanistan and would like to join the caravan please contact Move America Forward’s Robert Dixon: Robert@MoveAmericaForward.org

Actually, the split-second I hit the "Post" button I had a feeling you would get me for that!

I had some extended descriptors in mind for that guy, it's just that they were basically, ummm, not very printable.

Hi tame! This is in lieu of all the pings I haven't been able to answer lately. I know I am still way behind and will probably never catch up, but at least this is a start.

Wouldn't it be fun to join this caravan to Texas? JK and I would go, but he is just too busy at the studio this time of year.

Re: #148
Damn good post as usual, Nicollo.

I was hoping someone would counter his oxymoronic statements and strike'em down point by point, beat'em to a pulp and stomp on them like you did, instead of the normal "clean up in isle #xx" responses. Thank you.

Too bad the DUmmie already got the zot and probably back at the DUmp braggin' about himself; I'd like to have seen him try to defend his position against yours.

"So you see, the declaration of war carries powers beyond normal making of law. In kind, you, the patriotic (and not nationalistic) citizen, have an extraordinary duty to that law. If you break it, the Constitution allows Congress extraordinary measures to enforce it upon you.

That Congress chooses not to use those extraordinary powers is not license for you, the patriotic (and not nationalistic) citizen to oppose and to break the law. Here, too, dissent carries an extraordinary duty. The dissenter must know that in opposing the war he is obstructing the prosecution of that law.

So what's a poor boy to do? Hold your tongue. Vote. And then shut up again.

Once we're done kicking ass, you can go back to whining. Until then you support the troops by supporting the war. It's the law.

[And no, this is a legal war. There is a law passed by Congress and signed by the President that authorized it. It is the law.]

Well done, Nicollo. It was delightful to read after a long afternoon/evening at work. You ought to think about writing for a living. ;-)

"I'm not American et for I maybe shouldn't even express my feelings et to I feel this woman has committed highest treason of your great nation. Why is she allowed to do this and hurt others great people; for I read many: in for she is absolute paranoid and had abounded your country. I am standing by for you great nation of United States and Israel; as for her let God be a judge: itself in for she has lost her senses of love; how sad is that woman life."

thank you

So they won't be coming through New Jersey to see my flag? That's okay, we get plenty of other people coming past the house. I'll just keep waving it anyway. : )

"It is Cindy Sheehan stating her ever so redundant views and come to find out, it is being paid for by "BEN" from Ben and Jerry's ice cream. Found this out the other night and thought some of you might like to know.

Thanks for the info. Never did care for Ben and Jerry's anyway, the liberal bastards. BlueBell kicks B&J's arse on any hot Texas summer day!
