Supporters of U.S. Involvement in Iraq Plan Caravans to Texas

Move America Forward will be conducting the “You Don’t Speak for Me, Cindy” caravan beginning next week. It will feature military family members who have loved ones serving in the war against terrorism in Iraq or Afghanistan. The delegation will be led by Deborah Johns of Marine Moms. (Her son has served in Operation Iraqi Freedom).

Main caravan leaves from San Francisco, California on Monday, August 22nd. Other caravans will depart from around the country. If you want to be part of a caravan, email us with your name and location you will depart from and we will include in our caravan coverage so people in your area can depart with you.

Everyone arrives in Crawford, Texas for a giant “We Support Our Troops AND Their Mission” Rally on Saturday, August 27, 2005.

If you have a loved one serving in Iraq or Afghanistan and would like to join the caravan please contact Move America Forward’s Robert Dixon: Robert@MoveAmericaForward.org

Arthur Chrenkoff is a blogger from Australia. He recently announced that he will be retiring soon, but so far that hasn't happened. His blog is at: http://chrenkoff.blogspot.com/

He also has a 'Good News From Afghanistan' series that he posts every few weeks to go along with his bi-monthly posts of 'Good News From Iraq'.

Chrenkoff has some good "stuff" as evidenced by~~
"That's why MoveOn told people to bring pictures of children even if they aren't in the military, and organizers handed out stickers saying 'mom' and 'uncle' and so forth, even if the 'son' or 'nephew' wasn't in Iraq."

Can we join in an active caravan? We live in the College Station area - only a couple of hours from Crawford - we drove there last December.

Always remember that.......

It is the SOLDIER, not the preacher, who has given us freedom of religion. It is the SOLDIER, not the courts who has given us the right to keep and bear arms It is the SOLDIER, not the reporter, who has given us freedom of the press. It is the SOLDIER, not the poet, who has given us freedom of speech. It is the SOLDIER, not the campus organizer, who has given us freedom to assemble. It is the SOLDIER, not the lawyer, who has given us the right to a fair trial. It is the SOLDIER, not the politician, who has given us the right to vote. It is the SOLDIER, who salutes the Flag, and serves under the flag.

God Bless our Troops, their families ,our President and the USA,the land that I love.

Basil, can you answer this fine person's question, or direct texianyankee to a good resource? Thanks!

I wish there was away to make this a pro troop protest poster ,for all to be reminded, of why we have all of our freedoms.

Cindy most of all needs that reminder.IMO.

Coop if you or anyone has a way to enlarge this, feel free to do so.

It's my contribution to the Support the Troop rally.

God bless our troops and their families.

Oh sure, there are all sorts of way to make posters. And your graphic is very impressive. But even a hand-written, plain sign speaks volumes, though.

I'm up in Virginia, so me printing your sign won't help the Crawford bunch.

Whoops! I'm just now seeing this. I don't know of anyone coming from that area, but the TX state page might be the place to look.

Vietnam had Hanoi Jane, Iraq has Baghdad Cindy! At least Hanoi Jane didn't have a son who gave his life for his country and she bashed as the murder of thousands of innocent Iraqi's like Baghdad Cindy is doing when she accuses our soldiers of this in her insane statements. The peril in which our brave and honorable troops have been placed because of the stupidity coming out of this woman's mouth is just as treasonous as it was when Hanoi Jane placed our POW's lives at higher risk by her actions during Vietnam. I strongly suggest that signs start going up in counter protests in Crawford and across the Nation labeling her "BAGHDAD CINDY" which would be a just and true label for her. I have read the emails sent to Mike Gallagher after his group’s Crawford, Texas appearance and I was shocked and appalled ( http://www.mikeonline.com/audienceletters ). Not only are they degrading themselves by using this type of language in their uneducated and falsely informed points of view, but they are degrading our troops who are serving in Iraq. These soldiers are serving in order to help develop and protect the freedoms in Iraq that we are so privileged to enjoy in America. How can they overlook all of the hundreds of thousands of innocent Iraqi men, women, and children who were murdered in cold blood by Hussein and his government and still say that Americans are the murderers? In Baghdad Cindy and her follower’s cases, the old saying " better to be thought stupid than to open ones mouth and remove all doubt" seems to fit quite well.

Okay, thanks. I guess worst-case scenario you could always head down on your own and join 'em at Crawford, TY.

Another idea is to talk with folks near where you live, collegues at work, etc. and form your own convoy / caravan / SUVavan / motor homeavan.

This was probably the vigil held at the White House. While "hundreds" may be stretching it a bit, the D.C. Chapter was there 23 strong. Some of that number were just passers by who decided to join them. Read the after action report by BillF and check out the MOAB (mother of all banners).
