This is very sad. Watching the poor people standing in line to get into the Superdome for hours, with all the fears and emotions they had to be going through, and they were calm and orderly, even when they were being rained on.

My sister told me this morning that her 7 year-old asked why almost all the people in the line were black. Of course, it was something we all noticed, but nobody but a child would say it.

He is saying now that there is no flooding where he is, and it seems like the worst of the storm has passed.

Good news

CNN was reporting live from the French quarter and there obviously was no levee-related flooding; just some water due to the rain.

Shep reports no flooding on Bourbon St.

The folks on rooftops report is in Plackaman. (sp?)

Just now: Shep reports levees on East side have failed.

WDSU reporter Marcus Moore is reporting from Ocean Springs, MS. I'm surprised he hasn't seen worse there yet.

Yeah, I know.

No help at all.

But it's got to be done for political gain.

They dodged a bullet? Damage is extensive and the city is now flooding. Not sure he should be saying that. Geesh real stupid.
