Mary Mapes Names Names ("Anonymous" Ones)

Posted by Bill

An excerpt from page 201 of her new book:

Within minutes of Buckhead's original posting, Freepers began to repeat and embellish Buckhead's thoughts. Not surprisingly, they all agreed with him, they all agreed with one another, and they all agreed this should be pursued aggressively. Freethinkers they are not. The Freepers and their lockstep like-minded fellow travelers moved as a group, like a school of sharks sweeping toward an unaware and unarmed victim. CBS was like some sunburned, overweight Florida tourist with a cut foot, floundering and flapping in the water alone in the surf. The Freepers swarmed CBS not because it was right or fair but because they could.

On Web sites such as Powerline, INDC Journal, Allahpundit, and Spacetownusa, the bravehearts of the blogging world worked anonymously in what appeared to be huge numbers, in unison, to destroy the Bush-Guard story, to uphold one another's wild and hateful claims, to outshout, outargue, and outblog anyone who dared to disagree. And on their Web sites there is no disagreement. They hate in unison, they speak with one angry voice, they each make themselves bigger by staying as close together as possible.

Boy this is really something. They are portraying CBS as an innocent and helpless victim. The MSM has brainwashed America for years and with the coming of the Internet they are getting their hands called and their lies exposed and can not handle it. Mark my words if the Democrats ever come back to power they will put severe restrictions on speech and the internet or find a way to stop people from exposing their lies.
Bush was elected this last time simply because people like those on Free Republic are tired of Judicial Activism and they along with the religious community took a stand. You all can see how the Democrats have obstructed and the MSM have poured all of its resources into keeping the war, investigation and hatred for Bush on the front burner. This war within in our country is probably more serious than the war on terror and we had better not fall asleep again.

Mary,
You're a dull-witted hack and you reached your level of incompetence. Take a lesson. You're fired.

It's clear she missed the Schiavo, Miers and even the Christine threads.

It was a dark and stormy night. Buckhead was in the shadows. He and the other swarming FreePer sharks were lurking, lusting, salivating. Rather bled a little, and the swarm moved in.

We are such badnasty people. A group of anonymous nonentities daring to make public comments about a giant media corporation. How dare we?

I don't recall the hate, though. Did I miss out on the hate? I hate when that happens.

I always find a bit of sadness that the delusional are....delusional, but this just makes me laugh. The good, belly rumbling, chuckling feel good kind of laugh. And also a bit of pride in the crew. But really like all bullies, she just can't believe someone gave her a dose of her own medicine.

Remember Mary's journalistic ethics state that "it's up to the reader to confirm" what she writes, yeah mary yeah.
The more she talks the dumber she looks.

I assume she's talking about the "vast LEFT WING conspiracy" here. The so called "liberals" (who's more fascist and hate filled than the "libs"?) and all of their anti-American haters and sycophants?

Clearly she is experiencing some type of mental breakdown. Very sad. NY Times clearly had know choice to force her out.

Isn't she just hilarious. I now have a better understanding of why CBS was so bad for so long.

You now see they type of people running the inner workings of the MSM. A great insight into the mindset of the people managing and reporting (propagandizing) the news to the sheeple EVERY SINGLE DAY!

This is utterly dispicable!

The 'brainwashing' these people are trying to do on a daily basis on the entire population.

This is one war that the Bush administration is loosing realy badly these days. I, and many of us, do not see any intensity or drive to counteract the onslought of the RATS and MSM that's been going on now since the election was won.

If Bush winds up his 2nd term in a 'weakened' state, this will critically hurt the chances of retaining the Excutive branch in 2008 (regardless who runs).

Last night, Michael Savage was describing how the wicked of the last century and this one turn things upside down. First, on kristalnacht, the establishment pummeled the oppressed; last week in France, the oppressed punished the establishment. Mary Mapes, whoever she thinks she is, turns today's whole political picture upside down, sort of like calling good evil and evil good.

Her description of FR sounds just like the DemonRATS/press/Hellywood/university cabal. They harp the same old tune day after day like a broken record and nobody has an original thought. She ripped that label off them and put it on us.
