Here's the source. I'm surprised PEW published these numbers, because the left and its running dog MSM can't take much comfort with those numbers.
Poll should have included 2004 when all stops were pulled out and the media tried lying 24-7.
"Bush's Draft" every 20 minutes on MTV
"Bush's National Guard Memos" on 60 Minutes and in AP for 2 weeks
And the LACK of coverage of DNC brownshirts torching campaign signs, throwing bricks through windows, painting swastikas on Republican homes, slashing tires on election day and cutting power to GOP offices on election day.
NOT to mention Zogby's Bullguano poll numbers on election day.
----"...Americans still prefer their press in a watchdog role."---Yea, watchdog, not opposition cheerleader and water boy.====
How about Pimp, Prostitute and Crooked Cop?
These numbers won't dissuade the MSM to trash this president, this country, the good folks who live in it and the armed forces the world over protecting her.
This phrase guarantees that the real results were more than 50%, IMO.
Hmmm-watchdog. I lean towards media whores.

BTTT
25% of "Republicans" believe the press is fair as it attacks Bush with every lie, low blow, distortion and outright flimflam imaginable.
The majority of Americans can't recognize this campaign of Treason for what it is and that is good news?
Those are the 25% of Republicans who believe the press is "fair" to the president. Or the 12% which doesn't know.
Who knows what's the sampling bias of the PEW Foundation? Didn't they get funded by Soros and the Tides Foundation, while they pushed for campaign finance reform, gun control, etc., IIRC.
The majority of Americans can't recognize this campaign of Treason for what it is and that is good news?
Considering that mistakes were made, I think the title is cause for optimism since the left and MSM HAVE BEEN RELENTLESS!
You are welcome to your optimism but I don't share much of it since I believe half of the Americans would believe just about any goofy story the press puts out.
The last election essentially gave us the same information, almost 50% of those voting were as deluded and/or ignorant as one can be and still be able to pull a voting lever.
