German Intelligence Warns That Iran Has New Missiles

Deutsche Presse-Agentur:
German intelligence believes Iran has now bought 18 longer-range missiles from North Korea, giving Teheran the capability to attack targets in central Europe, the German daily newspaper Bild reported Friday.

The study by the foreign intelligence service BND said the BM-25 missiles were being purchased from Pyongyang in the form of kit sets. The mobile missiles, which are based on the Russian SS-N-6 missile for submarine launch, will have a nominal range of 2,500 kilometres.

However it was possible to upgrade them to hit targets 3,500 kilometres away, the Munich-based BND said.

Iran already has Shehab-3 missiles with a range of 1,300 kilometres.

Bild quoted the BND dossier as saying: 'Germany and other parts of Europe could be affected in the medium to long term by the Iranian missile programme.'

It added: 'With longer ranges in the future, combined with the apparent efforts to obtain nuclear warheads, Iran would be in a position to reach all of Israel and parts of central Europe.'

I am sure they would love to hit anywhere on the mainland of the United States. However the range isnt enough to do so. Until it is let the Euro's stew over it.

Some of the people that I worked with in the Imperial Iranian Air Force had a fair degree of technical talent. I am not totally sure how much of the technical talent remained after the Ayatollah "cleansed" the Iranian Armed Forces of the personnel that served under the Shah. The 8 year war with Iraq didn't help much either.

I don't doubt that a bit. I suspect though that the professional officer class doesn't appreciate being led down a road to destruction by the 12th Imam types. The talent they have may not wish to apply itself to such a task.

Looks like they have enough talent to build nuclear weapons, however.

Maybe this will get Europe to wake up, but I doubt it.

Knowing the Iranians, I would bet that a lot of talent was imported.

Good evening.

Looks like little Kimmy Il has been very busy lately. I wonder how N. Korea turns Iranian currency (I forget the name), into dollars or euros?

Iran has oil. They pay in real money.

NK on the other hand runs counterfeiting operations in dollars and yen. They launder it through gambling parlors in Japan run by North Korean immigrants.

Were Iran to strike New York our response should be massive retaliation wiping out every human being (if there are any) in ancient Persia or present-day Iran. Their absolute destruction might prove salutary to other kooks, pukes and gooks with nukes who don't know that of a great powerwould mean annihilation of their pissant presence on the planet.
