When they stopped at a table, the agents would literally stand on one side or the other and watch what they were doing. If they started to purchase a gun [the agents] would ask them why they were buying it, what were they buying it for, what did they need that gun for," Just picked this russian 308 up today.
Had they asked me why I was buying it, what I was buying it for, what did I need that gun for, I would have responded:
I dont need it, Im buying it because you guys stopped importation of it and its a good price. The damn thing is here legally, is there a problem?

Section 242. Deprivation of rights under color of law This should have been applied to all members of the ATF and FBI immediately following the Waco assault and massacre. Then the FBI should have been radically reorganized -- including removal of the entire top four layers of management. And the ATF should have been permanently disbanded.

But doncha feel nice and safe, though? Remember, all we have to do is get us a Republican majority and all of this intrusive government stuff will stop.

Having the House and Senate in Republican control is better than the alternative, but still a huge disappointment.
The President, on the other hand is not only not for us he is against us, at least that is my feeling. He can't come out and support gun control for political reasons but he has done nothing for us and some things such as this against us.
Never forget what his Father did to us.

If a number of legally brought guns are getting into the hands of street criminals via straw buyers, how does one stop it?
By arresting the crimminals and keeping them in jail instead of letting them out where they can buy guns.
That way you don't have to harrass law abiding citizens.............

"Did anybody mention that it is a federal crime to deny women or minorities their civil rights?" Feeney asked. "Did anybody mention to the ATF that denying civil rights, including the right to bear arms, is a federal crime?"
Isn't it a federal crime to deny anyone civil rights? I do believe that cowardly federal agents would single out women and minorities though because they would be more likely to be intimidated by law enforcement for obvious reasons. They would better think twice before they pulled that shit on me.

Well the ACLU seems to have that down pat when it comes to liberal causes. Just fight like cornered rats cubed, then ca-ching at the taxpayer's purse and blare it out to every news media known to man.
To: Fee
Dumb answer. The only people breaking the law here seem to be ATF agents. Criminals will be able to get guns regardless of what the ATF or anyone else does. I never seem to hear about the ATF taking weapons from actual criminals. All I ever hear about them is stuff like this, or the mess in Waco, or that they are making life difficult for people who are licensed to sell firearms. The ATF is another one of those unecessary federal agencies that need to be dissolved.
To: sangrila
This is why I do my Gun business in the gun show parking lot or up the road at the Burger King...Remember every time you purchase a weapon from a licensed dealer you are giving up your Constitutional rights.

Rep. William Delahunt (D-Mass.) said he had not intended to attend the hearing, which was held immediately after a subcommittee vote on an unrelated bill, but stayed because he was fascinated by the witnesses' testimony. "These must be the dumbest ATF agents in the entire agency," Delahunt said. "I am absolutely shocked that they could be that stupid. Does this Masshole liberal mean they're so stupid because they got caught, or because of what they did?
What about the supervisors that OK'ed these operations in at least 3 cities? Federal bureaucracy doesn't move unless it has authorization in triplicate from a higher up.
Congress needs to go up the chain of command and fire with prejudice everyone associated with this operation.
