Last week, Gov. Mike Rounds of South Dakota signed legislation prohibiting abortion in the state except in cases where the mother's life is in danger. The bill passed in the South Dakota Senate, 23-12. It passed in the South Dakota House of Representatives with flying colors, 50-18. Members of both political parties voted for the bill; the bill's chief sponsor was Sen. Julie Bartling, a Democrat.
Naturally, Planned Parenthood has pledged its opposition to the law. Sarah Stoesz, CEO of Planned Parenthood in Minnesota, South Dakota and North Dakota, states that Planned Parenthood will gauge public feeling about the bill before choosing whether to litigate. "We haven't decided yet. We're trying to sort out our strategy," she explained.
For Planned Parenthood, this should be an easy decision: Either the law is unconstitutional, or it is not. If the law is unconstitutional, filing a lawsuit is the only systemically correct decision -- after all, the judiciary is supposedly the proper protector of individual rights. If the law is fully constitutional, it is disreputable to consider litigation as an alternative to the political process -- filing a lawsuit to overturn fully constitutional public decision-making you don't like is antithetical to our system of governance.
But this is what the American left has become: For the left, democratic processes are valid only when they win. If the left loses in the political process, they sue. The people are no longer integral to the process; politics is a heads-I-win-tails-I-sue scenario.

I hope that Planned Parenthood goes after the N.Dakota law with everything they've got.
They will do nothing but help the GOP this fall.
"Liberal losers on parade."

For too much of the right, a poll is only valid if it shows a Republican doing well.
The left has already won.
They won when the managed to convince the sheeple of America that we are a democracy.
We are NOT a democracy.
We are a representative republic.
Let them ALL know that. Do it publicly and LOUDLY.
All of these people need some serious civics lessons.
Of course .. I thought that was a given. We are the RIGHT-WING after all - so it's only right that we should always be in the lead.
And if you believe that balderdash - I've got more just like it.
Or if it is Rasmussen.
It's not that we distrust polling, it's that we distrust MSM pollsters.

Absolutely.
Would you like to sign the Articles of Surrender now or at some more convenient date?
I'd like to be Shapiro's agent.
Oh, to be young and "get" it.
When most people don't know their Constitution, and it's history, then we give way to any stray thought. Surely the enemy advances, as ignornace resides.
The left is defeated easily, the moment our children start reading and understanding the Constitution.
But...
Once they believe that democracy is the maker of all good things, then we are no-longer morally superior to government such as Hamas. Principles, and thorough reasoning made our government what it is...and a bit of luck...not the mere opinions of one bias against the other.
A culture that respects individuals, and limited government. That history is more important than a vote of a million men or more. Give way to this, and we are signing our Articles of Surrender.
And a poll is only valid when Democrats win, if they don't, they sue. As this article points out:
The people are no longer integral to the process; politics is a heads-I-win-tails-I-sue scenario. When respect for the American people means so little that republicanism itself becomes secondary to certain political end-goals, our system of government is in serious trouble.
Right-o! The mentality is not a healthy one!
See, the way I see it is, fanatics vs. normalcy-a-bit-excited, LOL. There's a big difference between Democrats and Conservatives.
HAHA! Yes, I agree 100%!
Good. Glad you do.
