"If you decide that's the method of self-defense you're going to choose, you better be prepared to deal with the consequences." Is she threatening somebody?

'Trigger Happy' has a connotation of recklessness or ruthlessness.
Yet NOTHING in the article suggests anything like this.

I asked my dad for one for Christmas. Didn't get it, but I love his Beretta and he's kind enough to let me shoot it.

Think about it...
All that estrogen...and a handgun too.
That's a recipe for trouble if I've ever seen it.

The gun industry is catering to women with everything from more girly guns and apparel to all-female hunting trips and free ladies nights at the range. It's clear the feminine touch is adding up to big business. Excellent! Good marketing always relates to increased sales.

"If you bring a gun into the home, it increases the risk of homicide by three," said Becca Knox of the Brady Campaign. And what if a NRA safety-trained, licensed individual keeps a legally registered firearm in their home?
What are the statistics then?
Becca ? . . . Becca? . . . Hello? . . .

According to the Brady Campaign to Prevent Gun Violence, it's at least 20 times more likely that you'll use your weapon to shoot someone in your home rather than using it to protect yourself from an intruder. Tell that to a lady friend of mine who was abducted in a strip mall parking lot. The perp forced her to drive to a remote area where he tied her up and stole cash. She was sure she was going to be killed. It's been over 10 years ago and she has carried a .357 ever since. Amazingly, she hasn't killed any family members during the last 10 years.

But not everyone is convinced encouraging women to carry a gun is a good idea. According to the Brady Campaign to Prevent Gun Violence, it's at least 20 times more likely that you'll use your weapon to shoot someone in your home rather than using it to protect yourself from an intruder. The assumption that correlation = causation is damning to any kind of reasoning. It's a shame (but not surprising) to see that it went unchallenged here.

Yes, getting firearms training and then arming oneself for protection is "trigger happy." I suppose this is not as socially acceptable as screaming while you are raped or murdered.
I've decided that the Left cannot be re-educated. They need to be put to sleep.

"If you bring a gun into the home, it increases the risk of homicide by three,"
absolutely true. if a perp breaks in, you have a much better chance of killing him with a gun, than with a baseball bat, knife, or your bare hands.

How about taking out the gang-bangers and drug dealers out of those statistics? Oops, that would change them too much to have any value for your anti-gun propaganda campaign.
