Tell that to a lady friend of mine who was abducted in a strip mall parking lot. The perp forced her to drive to a remote area where he tied her up and stole cash. She was sure she was going to be killed. It's been over 10 years ago and she has carried a .357 ever since. Amazingly, she hasn't killed any family members during the last 10 years.
