Good Morning Billie. Just saw the post you made about the 3 inch heel shoes on yesterdays thread and wanted to rant a little. :)
I'm 5' 10" and have been looking for some dress shoes to wear to a wedding in May. There is nothing in the stores under 2 inches - NOTHING! Most of the really nice shoes have 3 inch heels.

I used to live in Oklahoma and they are some of the finest people around, still have family there.

Keep A Low Profile

Read:
Psalm 34:11-22

The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart. —Psalm 34:18

Bible In One Year: 2 Samuel 6-8; Luke 15:1-10

The National Weather Service advises that if you're ever caught out in the open during a severe lightning storm, you should kneel down, bend forward, and put your hands on your knees. Then, if lightning strikes nearby, your body will be less likely to serve as a conductor. Maximum safety depends on keeping a low physical profile.

The same applies to Christians caught in life's storms—we must assume a low spiritual posture. This means we must humble ourselves before the Lord (Psalm 34:18), be-cause pride and rebellion can harden us. We must speak truthfully (v.13), depart from evil, do good, and seek peace (v.14). Our heavenly Father wants us to stay close to Him when our hearts are hurting so He can impart His renewing strength and healing love.

Yes, we'll get drenched in the driving rains of adversity, and sometimes its fierce winds will buffet us so severely that we'll almost be swept off our feet. With each blinding flash of lightning we may be strongly tempted to get up and run. But keeping a low spiritual profile of humility and fear of God is the surest and safest way to weather the storm. David assured us that those who trust God in life's storms will not be condemned (v.22). —Dennis De Haan

Can you remember when we wore 3.5 inch heels WITH platforms?

I am tall too & often towered above most.. (I am 5'8"). I have a cousin(attorney) who is 6'1" and her two daughters are 6'2" each (physician & professional musician)

They ALL wear 2-3 inch heels & stand tall & elegant. Heads turn when they enter the room, obviously.

I never wore those platform shoes, probably would have knocked myself out on the door jams. lol

The highest I ever wore were 2 inches and really don't want to go above 1 1/2 inches at this stage in life.
My neice who is 6 foot wears high heals and does look very elegant. I just like my Keds. lol

New Generation Kitten





I'm a New Generation Kitten
Just a few weeks old and I've been roaming, watching, napping and sittin'
Trying to figure out what is what and who is really who
In this new place, but I really don't have much of a clue

Mother says to be patient and all will be answered soon enough
I know what I want, though it seems to be a crime
To leap for something out of reach and fall down all the time
If I keep practicing, I know I'll finally get my paws upon that stuff!

There are so many curious things at different heights
Mother says I should learn to walk before I leap
So I have cleverly and obediently lowered my sights
To things that I can latch onto, run away with and keep

A leather glove here. A silk scarf there. Rest around a thick Oven Mitt acquired with elan and guile
Adding a bit of style and elegance to my cozy domicile
Mother and our Humans know of this and haven't made a sound
As I enjoy the comforts of my very own Lost & Found!
