Roe attorney: Use abortion to 'eliminate poor'

In unearthed letter urged President-elect Clinton to 'reform' country

A letter to Bill Clinton written by the co-counsel who successfully argued the Roe v. Wade decision urged the then-president-elect to "eliminate the barely educated, unhealthy and poor segment of our country" by liberalizing abortion laws. Ron Weddington, who with his wife Sarah Weddington represented "Jane Roe," sent the four-page letter to President Clinton's transition team before Clinton took office in January 1993.

The missive turned up in an exhibit put together by the watchdog legal group Judicial Watch, which has been researching the Clinton administration's policy on the abortion drug RU-486, notes James Taranto in the Wall Street Journal's Best of the Web.

Weddington qualified his statement, saying, "No, I'm not advocating some sort of mass extinction of these unfortunate people. Crime, drugs and disease are already doing that. The problem is that their numbers are not only replaced but increased by the birth of millions of babies to people who can't afford to have babies.

"There, I've said it. It's what we all know is true, but we only whisper it, because as liberals who believe in individual rights, we view any program which might treat the disadvantaged differently as discriminatory, mean-spirited and ... well ... Republican

While I do believe that birth control thwarts the will of God, and the commandment of God to people to "be fruitful and multiply, for this topic I am referring to children who are already formed and well on thier way to being born. I am saying that once a woman is pregnant, and decides that for whatever reason she doesn't want to be bothered, and she goes and has her child dismembered and removed, she is thinking along the same lines as the monsters of history.

They also had thier reasons for not wanting some people around. The common line of "reasoning" is that some people are inconvenient, bothersome, sub-human, inferior, and therefore don't need to live anymore. The monsters then act on the "logic" and, making the decision to eliminate the "unwanted", proceed to slaughter.

The conclusion is the same: mothers and fathers do not have the divine wisdom and omnipotence neccessary to determine life and death, and neither did Stalin, Hitler, or Mao.

And, because God always provides a way for people to not sin against Him, there are millions of people who would take those "unwanted" children and love them and raise them.

There is no excuse.

RU486 is Zyklon-B for the uterus.>>>>>>>>>>>

Agreed BUT Ru485 does have legitimate medical applications, such as the shrinkage of tumors in situ. But of course the abortion debate has eclipsed this positive medical application. Intrauterine fibroids can be reduced without surgery using a small dosage of RU 486 over many months. You won't have surgeons lined up to encourage this use of RU486 either, seeing as how hysterectomies , the cutting OUT of wombs, is the most common bread and butter operation performed by our sick medical abortion promoting medical industry. RU486 would obviate most hysterectomies, and also can shrink brain tumors without invasive surgery.

I mean , I wouldn't want to be able to see you across a crowded womb!!!

( Ha Ha!)

Across a crowded womb? LOL

Zyklon had a legitimate application too: eradicating vermin.

The difference is only in scale GN.

Most people have they same reaction when they meet Havoc the first time.

And after that they just quit reacting? Man! Some people should come with a warning label.

Each and every life is created by God and is precious to Him.

And as far as scale, what is the American Holocaust up to now? Closing in on 50 million?

We certainly have no moral high ground to stand on.

Well, I know about the legitimate use of RU486 because wifey didn't want to have her womb ripped out, ) premature menopause and all that. We tried obtaining her enrollment in experiments proving the shrinkage of tumors with small doses of RU486.

But there the study had been completed. Instead she opted for a shrinkage of fibroids by reduction of uterine bloodfloww by embolisation of the uterine arteries, done via catheter in the leg arteries, no major invasive surgery. It was performed by a cardio-pulmonary technician and cost way less than a hysterectomy. The procedure was performed at Brigham Women's hospital in Boston

I thought I would mention this whole RU486, fibroid shrinkage and alternate procedures becuase so many women are never informed that they do not have to have their wombs ripped out.

So, yes, :

Across a crowded WOMB!

Ha Ha!!

I'm not at all convinced that a decline in crime was causally linked to legal abortion. At least one writer, Steve Sailer, has gone over the Freekonomics statistics and found that "Roe-Survivor" generational cohorts actually engaged in MORE crime because Roe paradoxically boosted the illegitimacy/fatherlessness rate by blasting the stuffing out of male responsibility.

Don't take this on faith. Read it and weigh the evidence:

Pre-emptive Executions?

The notion that legalizing abortion drives down crime rates is logically flawed and morally repugnant.

But that's just 50 million 'unviable tissue masses' ma'am.

And it's the mother's 'right' to chose whether that child lives or dies depending on how convenient the timing is...for the mother of course.

I was struck by the utter callousness of this 'lawyer' who penned the letter to our disgraced, impeached former President Clinton. He makes a classic error in his logic. He assumes that because a child is born to poor parents that child is doomed to an unproductive life of crime, drugs, and general despair.

I believe it was Beethoven who was the ninth child of his parents. All of his elder siblings either died in childbirth or shortly thereafter IIRC. His parents were dirt poor. Beethoven himself was the victim of a birth defect; deafness.

Just looking at the 'facts' of his parents situation it's a dead bang lead pipe cinch that this 'lawyer' would have aborted Beethoven in a heartbeat. After all he was the poor child of poor parents and was handicapped as well. What possible 'quality of life' could he expect?

Well, I guess old Ludwig showed us, didn't he. He's been dead for what, 200+ years and his music still moves people to unabashed joy or unashamed tears.

I can't help but wonder how many Beethovens, Einsteins, Hawkins, Friedmans, etc etc etc have been slaughtered in the abortuaries of the United States because they would have been born 'poor' or 'disadvantaged', all with the approval of this jibbering demon masquerading as a human being.

Nice to see more than just a few folks around here 'get it'.

Regards,

L

Why so? Abortion is then no crime, and the crime rate goes down!

I mean if we leaglized murder, then murder rates would go down!

Whats wrong with you, ? You just don't understand liberal thinking.

LOL!!!

I'm not buying that a moderately cogent person with any scruples and legal training would plant such a bomb under his own arse.

I see your point, but here's three things to consider:

1. She has never been hailed by anyone (except maybe some hardcore abortion promoters) for her scruples.

2. The abortion movement has always been about removing "undesirables" from the population. Margaret Sanger spoke about it plainly when she started this ball rolling, to the point that she used her magazine to praise the Nazi eugenics programs and even had the Nazi Minister of Racial Hygiene write a feature article in 1937.

3. In any case, Weddington is one record as believing that the solution to the difficult situations in a womans life is to cut her child into pieces and move on. Such a person would certainly see abortion as beneficial and Clinton as an ally in promoting it.

Here's a link to Taranto's page. After following this issue for a lot of years, I'm figuring this is genuine, and I'll predict that we won't see Weddington emerge next week to scream "Forgery!"

Well, now I've gone and made myself look like a first class idiot--I thought we were talking about sarah Weddington, not her ex-husband Ron. Well, my comments still stand.

Got it. Two ways to eliminate all crime: (1) to elimiinate all human beings, or (2) to legalize all crimes.

And the geniuses who gave us Roe vs Wade took bold giant steps toward doing both of the above simultaneously.

There is zero evidence that an increase in the number of people owning weapons lowered crime rates.

There is plenty of evidence that gun bans in the UK and Australia caused crime rates to skyrocket.
