Religious broadcaster Pat Robertson is warning that, according to God, storms and possibly a tidal wave will pound America's coastline this year. Don't they every year? That 'possibly' takes this from 'wha?' to 'duh.'

Widespread natural disasters... are seen by many Pentecostals and charismatic Christians like Robertson as biblically decreed harbingers of the end times.
And they're seen by environmentalists as harbingers of "global warming". Everybody has their articles of faith.
To: WestVirginiaRebel
Oh, you're just jealous because the little voices are only talking to him!

Storms on the American Coastline!
Look like Pat is going out on a limb on this one.

Perhaps these are "Smart Storms" that only target Gays, Muslims, Catholics, Jews and anyone who has not sent Five Hundred Bucks to the 700 Club.

A Q-Tip usually takes care of those voices.
Sheesh. It's kooks like this who give Christianity a bad name.

I wish Pat would shut up with providing us his personal cell phone messages from the Almighty. He has supported the lamest array of RINO moderate positions over the years and then provides the rats with a stereotype punching bag to use to promote their bogus bogeyman 'the Christian right'with his silly ass 'G-d sent (fill in the calamity) because America has gone topless.'

"If I heard the Lord right about 2006, the coasts of America will be lashed by storms, Robertson said May 8. Today, he added, there well may be something as bad as a tsunami in the Pacific Northwest."
He's baaaaack!
Just a little chuckle for you to divert from the doings in Congress. Get out of Seattle Clemenza, while the getting is good.

Messages from the Almighty - one of the best sermons I ever heard was from a preacher that started out - The phone rang, I answered it, it was God asking me to help someone; then I was walking down the street and God came up and asked me to help him out - it pointed out how we hear from God everyday in very small ways. Having said that, I think Pat is nuts.

Getting in the news is necessary for these fabously wealthy people who have made their money in the God business.
But I don't need to pay Jerry Falwell, Billy Graham, Pat Robertson, Jim Bakker or any of the other TV stars to get into Heaven. I can make it on my own -- with God's help.

We are in the midst of a storm for America and our levies( President and Congress) is failing. Who needs hurricanes, tornado's, or tsunamis.

I read the article, and frankly don't see anything wrong with what Pat said.
He said that he has the sense from God that there will indeed be bad weather on the East Coast.
Is there anything specifically that's wrong with what he said? Or are we all just eager to jump on the "hate-the-Christian-leader" bandwagon? Are those who pray to the Lord and hear from him necessarily mentally instable?

Don't you see that he isn't a prophet from the Lord?? Prophets don't say "If I heard the Lord right, then this is gonna happen"
1. God is never wrong
2. PR is usually wrong, so it's not the Lord he's hearing
3. Test of a prophet: is he ever wrong?? uh oh Pat!

BWAHAHAHAHAHA!
Way to go out on a limb there, Pat!
My predicition: God is likely to be especially angry between June and November, and the Gulf Coast and Florida are most likely to feel his divine wrath.
To: WestVirginiaRebel
God will tell you a lot if you read the Bible. As for disasters, those will always occur as long as this world is under the curse of sin and death.
Personally, I like Pat Robertson. He has done more to help people in their daily lives through his various charities than all his critics combined. I would very careful about ridiculing him. And he has consistently supported conservative postions on the issues.
If these posts are any indication of the level of spiritual darkness that has now consumed the conservative movement, we are in more trouble than I ever imagined.
