Public Opinion Strategies conducted this poll of 500 registered voters. Released today. This firm polls almost exclusively for Republican candidates, but this poll was done for the Lieberman campaign (you may remember the news stories last week about Lieberman hiring a Republican pollster). I don't know how accurate this is, being a campaign poll.

Connecticut trendlines:
August 21 Rasmussen, Lieberman up 2
August 21 ARG,         Lieberman up 2
August 14 Quinnipiac, Lieberman up 12

No that cannot be right.

America is moving decisively to the left.

Men like Ned Lamont represent the new consensus on Iraq and American policy.

This must be some sort of terrible mistake.

If I were in Connecticut and the Republican had no shot at winning, I'd vote for Lieberman.

I want to see the birth of a new party!

I think that is what the dems are really terrified of.

Do you really think that's why they are in such a panic?

And who will form the new party?

Lamont needs to go back to selling dog food, or whatever it was that he had to do to earn a living after he was booted out of the family home.

Oh, I don't think it's just the dems who are afraid of that.

Lamont? Just think of all the fake smiles in the Senate from the likes of Hillary, Schumer, etc., when Lieberman shows up as an INDEPENDENT and they have to kiss his butt to get him to caucus with them.

A Loserman win is a slap in the face to all Dems in the Senate, go Joe!

Not likely, as much as I would like to see that.

BUT-- the price of gas has already dropped nearly $1 around here in places, and may drop some more in the near future.(It is from 2.19-2.25 on average, only a month ago it was up to 3.15 in some places.)

Already-- it is near a point at which gas prices will NOT be much of an issue in November.

UNLESS the DUmmies get their killer Hurricane or such-- We will most likely see $2.00 a gal, and maybe a bit less, by election day!!

Yes, move all the liberal republicans and centrist democrats into a new political party. It may be formidable and actually quash the leftist Democratic party who is sponsored by Codepink and Moveon.org.

Maybe we could have it like the UK Liberal Democratic Party or the German Free Democrats. I wouldnt mind moving there.

Let's hope that Leiberman will retain his new found (I) once he wins and returns to the Senate.

I think that has to be the best part about this whole MoveOn.org "victory". One less (D) filling a Senate seat!

T^hat's exactly the reason why Hillary released the information that she's now interested in Harry Reid's Senate majority leader job.
Only temporarily of course to get her out of the limelight in these so trying times for the center versus left and radical left Democrats.
She smartly and temporarily steps back and avoids being aligned with centrists but against the left groups.
Her reappearance with precise timing by claiming to unite and help keep a sinking election ship afloat is a given.
