I would love to audit Pat's checking accounts and his off shore accounts to see who pays him to live as well as he does.

At least Howard Dean admits that he is a liberal democrat.

Eisenhower - 1954 - Operation Wetback

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Operation_Wetback

The operation began in California and Arizona and coordinated 1,075 Border Patrol agents along with state and local police agencies to mount an aggressive crackdown, going as far as police sweeps of Mexican-American neighborhoods and random stops and ID checks of "Mexican-looking" people in a region with many Native Americans and native Hispanics. Some 750 agents targeted agricultural areas with a goal of 1,000 apprehensions a day. By the end of July, over 50,000 aliens were caught in the two states. 488,000 people fled the country for fear of being apprehended. By September, 80,000 had been taken into custody in Texas, and an estimated 500,000 to 700,000 illegals had left Texas voluntarily. To discourage reentry, buses and trains took many illegals deep within Mexico before being set free. Tens of thousands more were put aboard two hired ships, the Emancipation and the Mercurio. The ships ferried the aliens from Port Isabel, Texas, to Veracruz, Mexico, more than 800 kilometers (500 miles) south.

While Buchanan goes too far in calling for impeachment, I don't think anyone but the most fanatic Bushbot would disagree that Bush and the RINOs have been failures when it comes to securing the nation's borders since 9/11.

So Puchanan has one point of truth out of all the rest of his spittle...That's how the communists operate...Start out with one obvious point of truth and the suckers will then believe the rest of their bilge.

Linking the border problem with impeachment is a such a tactic

Some people you learn to ignore altogether

If something like this happens, Americans, especially the libs, will be calling for the impeachment of the President and all of congress for not doing enough to secure the border. Now is the time, before something happens.

Since this is a Republic, not a dictatorship, one man, the Pres., cannot be responsible for every and all things that happen - He cannot FORCE the congress/senators to take action. But he can't forbid YOU or anyone else, to get your butts down on the border and do your part, either.

As Lincoln said: "He as the right to criticize who has the heart to help."

(Do forgive if I mis-assume and you already ARE on the border.)

Now that should be grounds for impeachment of any president...

Correct. I'm still waiting for Congress to launch and investigation into why the executive branch is NOT enforcing the laws on the books. Trouble is 3/4 of the Congress favors not enforcing the immigration laws.

The solution is not in fences, nor in legislation; it is in making manual labor attractive to those Americans who might not have a job, but who won't take sled dog's wages with no apparent benefits. Better to tie those jobs to some tangible benefit, and let those who want to work for it. In the meantime, enforce the existing laws before we pass new ones.

well and truly said.

Fences just mean break throughs and tunneling - it's too many hundreds of miles - and even were it successful - the terrorists would simply concentrate - AS THEY HAVE - on the Canadian border - gonna build a GREAT CANADAIAN WALL several thousand miles long?

I don't think Bush should be impeached, but I am very disappointed in him on this issue.

this is an issue Clinton and Carter simply ignored, knowing what a hornet's nest it would break open. So the cowards get a free pass for doing nothind, and the man that is brave enough to whack the nest is getting vilified from all sides.

I really do not know why he puts himself through all he does to protect our sorry as*ses. He has done more to protect out safety than anyone in most of our lifetimes - he gets 99 things right and done and because he tries to get congress and the senate to move on this one issue 0 but cannot force them as we are still a Republic, not a dictatorship, everyone is ready to hang him high.

Keep up the hizzy fits, the libs love you for it. Hand them the elections.,,and see how far you get. They will grant everyone citizenship to gain a voters block they know they can control. (Talk about aiding and abetting the enemy)

Please don't tell me you are one of those who feel that only someone actively patrolling the border is the only person who can be critical of our open border?

True enough, we don't live in a dictatorship. However, to assume that public opinion would not go against President Bush and all of the Republicans should there be some sort of terrorist bombing, particularly a weapon of mass destruction smuggle across the Mexican border, is naive.

What the President can do, especially when the Republicans control both houses and the White House, is more than he is doing. But, and I hate to say this about him, President Bush is not much on border security or illegal immigration. I don't know why that is, but by his actions and speeches, I have come to conclude it's not a priority for him or his administration.

As to just quitting my job, selling my house and moving back to Arizona to patrol the border? I'll pass. But, sending emails, faxes, taking polls, and voicing my opinions are things that I can do.
