Your cable company removed Fox News??

Why on Earth would they remove the #1 rated news network?

Stunningly beautiful. Makes me want to go tour Washington, D.C.

It's a wonderful city to visit. I was just there about 5 weeks ago. Had such a fantastic time!

I did, too. Didn't get to join in (MSM only here) until about an hour into everything, just before the stop at WWII, which I wanted to see.

Got to hear the Navy Hymn, anyway, which was my main goal. It was just the first verse, but that was enough. I am plagued with nerve-shattering noise pollution from neighbors, so really didn't get to be as reverent as I wanted to be - but crying, just the same.

Loved Dick Cheney's (*smooches*) eulogy and Hastert's both. Had earphones on for those, so it was OK. Pretty amazing, after the earlier narrative by MSM wonk that Pres Ford was disgusted with Cheney in the past two years. Gag. As my dad's friend used to chide, "But he says such nice things about you!"

God bless the "good and decent®" President Gerald Ford! Condolences to Betty, Susan, Steve and all the family. Thank you, thank you!

I don't really remember that about abortion.

I am glad that VP Cheney commented about the contributions Mrs. Ford made also. Two family members have struggled with the demon in the bottle and I think her talking about her problem made it something to be tackled vs. swept under the rug.

Some time on it's own thread so as not to denigrate this honor for President Ford, we ought to plan out our vision of slick's funerallly.

Howlin, I may just have to chuckle a few times about burying a snipe like Slick. Maybe the men and women won't walk by when they can, but only when they must.

Saw her military escort pat her hand once and he kept looking at her.

I think that wonderful general was trying to keep the sun out of Mrs. Ford's eyes. Only a gentleman--and a son--would think of that.

I can't help but think that this speech was the opening salvo in the campaign against Hillary.

So much of the animosity that he dates to Watergate could be laid at her feet. Remember how when she was on staff for the Judiciary Committee that she was trying to write rules that Nixon couldn't even have legal representation??

The guy who was her boss wrote up a bad reference for her, preventing her from working on the Hill after the resignation. I wonder if that had something to do with the timing of her move to Arkansas.

President Ford, please forgive such talk during your funeral, just trying to do what I can to preserve the Republic...

OK, OF.

I was thinking a little while ago that Ford was born before WWI. During Wilson's presidency or before? Harding? Cleveland?

Let's not forget the evil Ben Veniste working on Nixon's impeachment.
