Advertisements in Superbowl - Snickers commercial

Last evening, as I watched the Superbowl with my nine year old son, I became extremely annoyed at the MARS Corporation and their advertisement for Snickers which showed two guys locking lips. I can't even fathom why somebody thought that this would be a good advertisement for that particular product and why they chose to air it during this event, especially when they knew children would be watching. If their aim was to draw controversy in the hopes of increasing sales, then I sincerely hope they missed their mark. I hope that, instead, they lose sales because of their idiocy.

I called in and registered my strong disapproval this morning at 1-908-852-1000. (If you call, when you get the phone tree, just press "0")

Our family will not be buying MARS products ... Products that MARS makes/distributes: M&M'S, SNICKERS, MARS bars, Milky Way, Skittles, and TWIX.

He wasn't booed. People were saying his first name, something like Moose.

Jack Lemmon did too. Of course, Tony Curtis and Jack Lemmon were dressed in drag.

Seeing Prince all washed up doing the halftime show was pretty funny.

I was hoping to see Paul McCartney's breast. Oh well, there's always next year.

Does everyone miss the fact what was intended to be ridiculously humorous, that the insecure guys needed to prove their ungayness by pulling hair from their chest, has provoked those here to essentially do the virtual version of just that.

The guys weren't kissing, they just found themselves in a compromised position while eating a Snickers. Their over reaction to the realization of the situation is hardly an endorsement of the homosexual lifestyle. It wasn't offensive, it was funny. The fact that it has you whining about it the next day says it worked. (Get the stick out of your butt)

You should be thankful that the reaction of the guys was that the accidental kiss was inappropriate and embarassing. They clearly showed it as a "not normal" activity. I found that kind of refreshing....

Incidentally, who was that they got to do the National Anthem. The fags have even taken over that!

You don't know who Billy Joel is? And he's quite straight.

I saw abouat a minute of the SB (I don't care). I did see the Snickers commercial and thought it was repoulsive and disgusting.

I loathe and despise Prince. He's so pathetically narcissistic and contrived. I've never understood the adulation he receives. He's nothing special musically to me.

I'm sure gay rights people didn't like it either. The blatant implication is that kissing another guy is unmanly and therefore wrong. That was probably the most un-PC commerical of the night. Much better than those ultra-fluffy Coke commericals.

I thought it was hilarious myself.

That's it.

Yup. A pretty stupid, vaguely amusing, and not very good ad for Snickers.

They probably should have spent their money more wisely, but it's not a manifestation of the creeping homosexual agenda.

I loved the Blockbuster commercial with the "mouse"....

Also, I wish Budweiser would return to the days of the Clydesdales and the Frogs.......especially Frank and Louie

Forget Rice-a-Roni. Snickers is the NEW San Francisco treat.

Well, THAT just put a whole new spin on it!!!

I almost didn't recognize him. He (we) have gotten much more rotund since he (we) were younger.......

The snickers commercial was terrible. The hamster and the mouse was a terrific one. Congratulations to Bud for the homeless dog who hit the jackpot, and there were some really good ones also.I enjoyed most of them and thought they were well done, of course I always love the bud horses , I remember the tribute to the trade towers they did after 911. It was terrific and the clams with the ice chest, priceless. You have to admit one rotten apple in the bunch did not make all of them bad.Let us also remember Prince was great , it was a clean good show and I still wonder how he did not get a shock from all the purple rain coming down for real. Let us think positive, one bad apple did not spoil a great Super Bowl. ON To NEXT YEAR!
