Purim - which celebrates the miraculous salvation of the Jews and the thwarting of Haman's genocidal plot - has traditionally symbolized the victory of the Jewish people over anti-Semitic tyranny. Victory celebrations just warm your heart!
Either that, or our Christian prayer to turn his heart.
A joyous Purim to our beloved elder brethren!
The kids are adorable, especially your granddaughter(s?). And the parade looked like fun...well, except for one thing. The riders need beads to throw.
Happy Purim to you and yours, God bless.
Oh well, in any case, you(pl) all know I'm talkin' to you too.
My best regards on this happy day,
Nam Vet
Thanks for the thread.
BTW, your granddaughter is adorable, Alouette.
I'd also like to add the bravery of Esther. She came before the king, without being summoned, which was normally a capital offense, to plead for her peoples' salvation.
Mark

temple. a fabulous time was had by all! :)
HAPPY PURIM Alouette!
Est 9:28 And [that] these days [should be] remembered and kept throughout every generation, every family, every province, and every city; and [that] these days of Purim should not fail from among the Jews, nor the memorial of them perish from their seed.
Est 9:31 To confirm these days of Purim in their times [appointed], according as Mordecai the Jew and Esther the queen had enjoined them, and as they had decreed for themselves and for their seed, the matters of the fastings and their cry.
Blessed be these days and blessings of the Lord Our God to all who heed his words.
I sure am tired of folks like that.....A Happy Celebration to all freepers of the Jewish faith!
