Will FR embrace socialism to make way for Rudy Giuliani as a Republican presidential candidate?
vanity | April 21, 2007 | Jim Robinson

Posted on 04/21/2007 6:42:25 PM PDT by Jim Robinson

We've got some real challenges facing us. FR was established to fight against government corruption, overstepping, and abuse and to fight for a return to the limited constitutional government as envisioned and set forth by our founding fathers in the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution and other founding documents.

One of the biggest cases of government corruption, overstepping and abuse that I know of is its disgraceful headlong slide into a socialist hell. Our founders never intended for abortion to be the law of the land. And they never intended the Supreme Court to be a legislative body. They never intended God or religion to be written out of public life. They never intended government to be used to deny God's existence or for government to be used to force sexual perversions onto our society or into our children's education curriculum. They never intend for government to disarm the people. They never intended for government to set up sanctuary cities for illegals. They never intended government to “rule” over the people and or to take their earnings or private property or to deprive them of their constitutional rights to free speech, free religion, private property, due process, etc. They never intended government to seize the private property of private citizens through draconian asset forfeiture laws or laws allowing government to take private property from lawful owners to give to developers. Or to seize wealth and redistribute it to others. Or to provide government forced health insurance or government forced retirement systems.

All of the above are examples of ever expanding socialism and tyranny brought to us by liberals/liberalism.

FR fights against the liberals/Democrats in all of these areas and always will. Now if liberalism infiltrates into the Republican party and Republicans start promoting all this socialist garbage, do you think that I or FR will suddenly stop fighting against it? Do you think I'm going to bow down and accept abortionism, feminism, homosexualism, global warming, illegal alien lawbreakers, gun control, asset forfeiture, socialism, tyranny, totalitarianism, etc, etc, etc, just so some fancy New York liberal lawyer can become president from the Republican party?

Do you really expect me to do that?

Oh, WOW! I finally had an opportunity to read this. This is DEAD ON! When the petition went out to recall Gray Davis, I signed it. When it came time to vote for the governor in the recall election, I voted for Tom McClintock. I did not doubt that there wasn’t a chance in heck of McClintock winning, but I could not, in any good conscience, vote for a flaming liberal, even if he did have an R by his name, was charming, and rode that white horse. You know what? I have never regretted my decision, and and sleep I lose is not over having made a decision to compromise my ethics and standards just to retain power, to get someone in office with an R next to his name. I mean, if I had done that, well, that would make me a liberal, wouldn’t it?

I remember being at a college football game in the fall of 1979, saying “who is George Bush?”. He was elected VP

I had never heard of Bubba until late 1991.

How is this different from a name just getting recognition 18 months from an election?

People are acting like the election is this November. Yes, we have work to do to keep the GOP conservative. But taking true conservatives, and saying they have no name recognition at this point is counterproductive. Make sure every person you know, knows who Duncan Hunter and Fred Thompson are!!!!

I am a little late to this thread, about an hour behind reading it, but I am surprised no one asked ‘Just sayin’ if he/she was in favor of human cloning or embryo farms.

Probably. It fits with his science fiction mentality.

I dropped out for about 5 hours and it went up over a thousand posts. I'm doomed. There's not enough hours in the day to catch up.

>>“I thought of the hairdryer, but was afraid to do it.” -------------

I used to repair computers for a living and some of the keyboards people used to bring me were a stick, yukky mess. ----------

The easiest way I found to clean them was to put them in the sink and house them down and scrub them with a brush and dish soap and then rinse.<<

Keyboards used to cost more. Now for $4 you get a new one.

Yep. It works.

I’ve even taken the keyboards apart to get at the hidden grunge.

Just put them in the sink and scrub, rinse and blow dry.

Beats the heck out of running out and buying a new keyboard because you can’t keep the milk and cookies away from the computer.

(Or the pizza,tacos,crumb cake,etc...)

Ooooh! The best. Simply the best.

We are a few blocks down the feeding chain, but may it be:

The night of the Rudybots Retreat shall ne’er go by,
From this day to the ending of the world,
Or 2008, whichever comes first,
But we in it shall be remembered-

And if we're the only ones who remember, that's fun too :-)
