Will FR embrace socialism to make way for Rudy Giuliani as a Republican presidential candidate?
vanity | April 21, 2007 | Jim Robinson

Posted on 04/21/2007 6:42:25 PM PDT by Jim Robinson

We've got some real challenges facing us. FR was established to fight against government corruption, overstepping, and abuse and to fight for a return to the limited constitutional government as envisioned and set forth by our founding fathers in the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution and other founding documents.

One of the biggest cases of government corruption, overstepping and abuse that I know of is its disgraceful headlong slide into a socialist hell. Our founders never intended for abortion to be the law of the land. And they never intended the Supreme Court to be a legislative body. They never intended God or religion to be written out of public life. They never intended government to be used to deny God's existence or for government to be used to force sexual perversions onto our society or into our children's education curriculum. They never intend for government to disarm the people. They never intended for government to set up sanctuary cities for illegals. They never intended government to “rule” over the people and or to take their earnings or private property or to deprive them of their constitutional rights to free speech, free religion, private property, due process, etc. They never intended government to seize the private property of private citizens through draconian asset forfeiture laws or laws allowing government to take private property from lawful owners to give to developers. Or to seize wealth and redistribute it to others. Or to provide government forced health insurance or government forced retirement systems.

All of the above are examples of ever expanding socialism and tyranny brought to us by liberals/liberalism.

FR fights against the liberals/Democrats in all of these areas and always will. Now if liberalism infiltrates into the Republican party and Republicans start promoting all this socialist garbage, do you think that I or FR will suddenly stop fighting against it? Do you think I'm going to bow down and accept abortionism, feminism, homosexualism, global warming, illegal alien lawbreakers, gun control, asset forfeiture, socialism, tyranny, totalitarianism, etc, etc, etc, just so some fancy New York liberal lawyer can become president from the Republican party?

Do you really expect me to do that?

LOL....I enjoy the empty nest, but I still miss the boogers...

I have the best of both worlds... I work in kindergarten! At noon, I go home, to my empty house after playing all morning with 5 year olds!

Claiming? You Gulag Darwin conspiracy nut.
...and you liberals and friends defending liberals are asswipes

name calling = you lost the debate. SNR is pathetically low.

Surely you have more to offer this forum than persistent taunts, tattling and name calling. I've been waiting patiently for some positive conservative discussion contributions from you two. It's been a long, disappointing wait. Yawn.

Fine, you are free to say that. It doesn’t bother me at all. However, it would be more valid hearing it directly from him and seeing the documentation. I understand there is another thread for that...

SuzyQue, I need to point you to 13,957.

I don’t misrepresent myself as currently having family serving, but they’re ALL my family. I’ve written to many of them.

And, thank you also for being a tough military family member...:)

You make a snarky remark to a post merely stating a fact and the best you can say is read my other post?

I read it.

It’s hogwash, if you haven’t taken the time to actually find out WHY these people have been banned.

Your words are nothing more a than ‘memorial’ to an ideal that you think the founder of this site, and many conservatives, should follow because, after all, we just have to ‘live and let live’ no matter what.

Bull. These people committed what’s now known as ‘FREEPERcide’ by their refusal to heed the warning of Jim Rob NOT to run down conservatives to boost up Rudy. And it was even explained in plain english that if they plan on supporting Rudy to at least be HONEST about it.

But no. These people weren’t content to support Rudy and let others support whomever they wanted and ‘live and let live. They made it a POINT that if the rest were not ‘like minded’ WE would be putting Hillary in the whitehouse and it would be OUR FAULT.

You can say what you want about your departed friends, but I have no sympathy.

And that is MY option, whether anyone likes it or not.

What's incendiary? You're the only one blowing smoke right now...right out of your butt.

I'm only making an observation that the RR and the anti-war blocs...while major players...are not the majority of their respective parties.

Nothing more and nothing less.

If you guys want me to leave the thread, then ask. If you want to talk, then cut the crap with your blatant attempts to characterize me as some anti-christian wacko Rudy lover.

“What onus?”

Sorry for being short. Talking about dividing the Party as it relates to being here...the people dividing are the liberals or people supporting the liberal candidate. It seems pretty clear this is a conservative site, so the onus shouldn’t be on the conservatives. Now if it were some liberal site the opposite would be true.

Terri's Tampa Bay supporters remain loyal, supportive friends to one another. I did get tired of making signs though, stepping on signs, seeing signs. Lotsa years, lotsa magic markers... My American Flag was on television. I forgot it one night and saw it on tv the next morning.

There is a parallel to Free Republic being Jim Robinson's forum. When he looks at FR, he should be able to identify it as such, night or day.

Yes, we need to unite. I am saddened about some of the folks who have left FR. And, there are some 'not so nice folks who have left or been banned' Not really sad about them not being here, but they should not be banned from this site for expressing their views. I would rather we all be here together, hearing all our conservative voices, We can not agree 100% all of the time on any subject. No, I am not supporting Guiliani, but I will not condemn those who do. And if I did support Rudy, I would not want to have to worry about being banned from a site that I love for expressing my views.

Yes, I know Jim, I have heard that this is your house and we have to abide by your rules and if we don't like your rules, we could leave.

In my own home, I welcome all folks. Would never throw a friend out of my home for having different views. I have friends who are very liberal and I love them very much, I would never throw them out of my home for not agreeing with me.
