Will FR embrace socialism to make way for Rudy Giuliani as a Republican presidential candidate?
vanity | April 21, 2007 | Jim Robinson

Posted on 04/21/2007 6:42:25 PM PDT by Jim Robinson

We've got some real challenges facing us. FR was established to fight against government corruption, overstepping, and abuse and to fight for a return to the limited constitutional government as envisioned and set forth by our founding fathers in the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution and other founding documents.

One of the biggest cases of government corruption, overstepping and abuse that I know of is its disgraceful headlong slide into a socialist hell. Our founders never intended for abortion to be the law of the land. And they never intended the Supreme Court to be a legislative body. They never intended God or religion to be written out of public life. They never intended government to be used to deny God's existence or for government to be used to force sexual perversions onto our society or into our children's education curriculum. They never intend for government to disarm the people. They never intended for government to set up sanctuary cities for illegals. They never intended government to “rule” over the people and or to take their earnings or private property or to deprive them of their constitutional rights to free speech, free religion, private property, due process, etc. They never intended government to seize the private property of private citizens through draconian asset forfeiture laws or laws allowing government to take private property from lawful owners to give to developers. Or to seize wealth and redistribute it to others. Or to provide government forced health insurance or government forced retirement systems.

All of the above are examples of ever expanding socialism and tyranny brought to us by liberals/liberalism.

FR fights against the liberals/Democrats in all of these areas and always will. Now if liberalism infiltrates into the Republican party and Republicans start promoting all this socialist garbage, do you think that I or FR will suddenly stop fighting against it? Do you think I'm going to bow down and accept abortionism, feminism, homosexualism, global warming, illegal alien lawbreakers, gun control, asset forfeiture, socialism, tyranny, totalitarianism, etc, etc, etc, just so some fancy New York liberal lawyer can become president from the Republican party?

Do you really expect me to do that?

I read a book as a kid about a pet owl. The owl did all kinds of funny stuff, such as flying into the house carrying a freshly-killed skunk.

But one scene sticks in my head. The boy was out crow hunting with his dad. The crows were staying out of range, and then suddenly the owl hopped up onto a fence post next to them. The crows lost their minds and came after the owl time after time even though they were getting blown out of the sky.

Really good story and does remind me of how these attack EV.

What was the name of that story, I'd like to get it for my grandchildren.

One of them told everyone in the whole country to limit themselves to one sheet of toilet paper.

Not really. The title is misleading. Has a nazi overtone to it. My point was, according to others ..... yada yada yada....

Besides we already have one fearless leader, who thinks Rooty is a socialist and wants no part of that around FR. I agree.

That is a great depiction of EV and his counterparts.

How I wish I had your green thumb. I have one plant outside that is gorgeous that a friend gave to me. You cannot kill it, she promised me. And she was right, you don't have to take it in during the winter or anything. I leave it hanging out all year long and it always comes back in the spring and summer.

I have a ton of acreage and would love to plant more stuff but I am terrified of snakes which keeps me from starting a garden, etc....something I would love to do.

I quit doing hummingbird feeders last year. I promise I would have 20 or so hummingbirds a year. I was constantly filling the feeders....it just got to be too much with school and taking care of my grandma. But I plan to start doing that again after I get out of school.

I heard you mention in one of your posts that you guys are looking to move down South. I hope you do....just a suggestion....Oklahoma is a great place....:)LOL

Also, you are still in my prayers, along with your family.

>> There are still some scientists here - I know of several who hold advanced science degrees

This goes back to a snotty remark made to me about all the scientists having moved to DC. Which, of course, was nonsense -- a specialty of that house. I hope they will scientifically enjoy each others' company and not become, like, y'know, alcoholic. In fact, I think they should hand out microphones to all their members, turn on the web cams, and spend a month together. We could send over pizza and soda pop.

Meanwhile, I don't see that FR's scientific expertise has been diminished at all.

Everyone has their own approach, everyone has their 'preferred' methods of dealing with whatever they encounter,

Right now I am trying to build a coalition in the "real" world. I am talking to folks who on many issues aren't my allies, but this is one issue we might agree on. Many of people I am talking to tell me "don't talk to this one, don't trust that one, etc, because they've had disagreements in the past on one issue , or personality or the other.

If I were to listen to what all of them say, I'd have no coalition at all.

EV, I just want to say that I am glad you are still here. Many people noticed that you could not post even one minor comment without the cabal descending on you no matter what the subject was.

It was the same way with me, which is why I quit posting for awhile, it just got old. I would go out of my way to avoid them, but they would always track me down.

I fell in love with FR the minute I found it and yes, at certain times, I have gotten upset with FR, but I never left and joined a Anti-Freeper site. I would just read and not post.

Anyway, I am glad things are better around here and we don't have to constantly hear that we "have our foot on the Republican party's neck".

Keep up the good work, EV.

For easier birds, you could put up a regular tube feeder and use the black oil sunflower seeds. We have gold finches by the dozen, not to mention many other varieties. They love the stuff. So do squirrels, but some peanuts tossed around usually takes care of the raiding problem. So would a shotgun.

EV, you are one of the brightest and persistant individuals I’ve read/seen.......Your way to intelligent in conservatism to want to swat flies in here. I personally could learn from you, but not while you’re in here swatting."

I agree, lets not bother with the flies. I do understand that they are coming at you so furiously like those crows did to the owl, but remember to rise above their insults. They only have insults, nothing else, and when they continually insult it comes back and sticks on them. While it is happening, you might not realize that many our lurking and see them as they are.

Rise above, we need you and there is work to do.

Yet we're the uncivil philistines.

They're just bitter that their own tactics finally turned on them once it became clear their goal was to drag FR slowly leftwards.

LOL! Yes it would. Thanks for that tip. I plan to get back into that stuff as soon as I finish school. I would love to have other birds besides the hummingbirds. However, I do love the hummingbirds.
