Impeach Traitors in CongressViolaters of Oath of Office
United States Senate ^ | 05/18/07 | Charlied

I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion; and that I will well and faithfully discharge the duties of the office on which I am about to enter: So help me God

Impeach all that vote for the current Immigration bill.

Well, it comes down to this. The Senate gets to amend this bill to their heart’s content. Senate rules allow an almost infinite number of amendments. Each is voted on. Any amendment by the Democrats to broaden the number of illegals that get in can be rammed through on a 51/49 vote, but then the question becomes will their amendment trigger a filibuster.

And apparently there are a lot of House Dems who won’t sign on as is.

It evolves to be something very much like Hastert faced. There were bills he could have gotten through by getting a handful of GOP votes and many Dem votes. To a large extent, that’s what Pelosi faces on the Iraq funding. She could get a clean bill through with 40 Dems and all GOP, but she — like Hastert — won’t push through a bill opposed by the majority of her own caucus. Hastert did that once and paid a heavy price.

The President is cast in the role of Hastert in this, where he’s looking to get a bill passed over the majority of his own caucus in the House. On this issue, he is out of step with the GOP. It’s an important issue, but no, it’s not the most decisive issue in the history of the US. Nuclear warfare is. It always has been, and always will be.

Wrong...It wasnt the conservative base or the average GOP voter that made deals with RATS, caved in and stabbed all conservatives in the back. IT WAS THE ELECTED SCUMBAGS IN DC! Conservative America has been fighting for years and this current crop of spinelessrepublicans has almost totally ruined the GOP. Keep re-electing them and we will see more of the same.

The old arguement of voting for any Republican to counter the RATS doesnt hold water any more.

Calling for lynchings and impeachment over a disagreement in policy is exactly what they do at DU. I expect better of people here than that.

As for illegal immigration, if you want to discuss that it’s fine with me. I grew up in an agricultural community and then lived in SoCal for almost 20 years. I know the damage these people do to society. I understand the damage this legistlation will do as well. I also understand that using the kind of hyperbole used in this thread accomplishes nothing except to diminish the views of the people using it.

We should form something called Payback, so we can remember (swiftboat supporters of ending the Republic) and remind voters on election day.

Drudge has a story about LA city counsel ordering the removal of the US Flag over a hummer dealership. If this passes expect more of the same all across the nation.

As far as I’m concerned, this is a DIRECT result of those conservatives who supported Bush in the 2000 primaries.

Completely blowing Jackson Brown theory (stay at home voters) out of the water, nice job.

Unfortunately he’s not the only one left who holds on desperately to that old worn out lie.

I left in on to piss off the leftists, but it’s gone now. I don’t think I’ll ever put on another politician sticker unless someone really conservative comes along.

I didn’t call for a lynching I called for a RECALL of all senators that vote for it and an encouragement for any Republican with the cajones to stand up to George Bush demanding AMNESTY for the lawbreakers to consider impeaching the President. In light of Fort Dix this bill is contraindicated.

I should have called him by his proper name Henry Bowman but it is encouraging that a number of people here know him. I just hope he is still out there.

Don’t forget to hang for treason all that voted for McCain Feingold for abridging the first amendment...heck anyone that votes for any education bill, clearly not an enumerated power.

****

Fred Thompson FYI

Senator Thompson voted in favor of the McCain-Feingold Campaign Finance Reform act as well as the Shays-Meehan bill restricting issue ads.

There is something pathological about the Bushs’ obsession with amnesty. No self-respecting conservative and true American could possibly think this is a valid idea.

Bush is a citizen of the world.Open borders,AKA another amnesty and continued illegal migration will bring America to it’s knees.Bush is his daddy’s son and wants a North American Union.

Yeah, then we would have had either McCain or Gore.

The issue is the CONGRESS/Senate and who has the leaderships roll, NOT Bush!

Where JC Hayworth and a dozen others, who would be fighting this now....their out of office because conservatives voted third party or stayed home.

You might want to go back and read ALL the dozens of threads about just this started by VERY well thought out “articles” -- many by Jim Robinson!

loser, sore loser I might add. Lot’s of good conservative Americans running for gop nomination in 2000. But yall nominated the pamper elite, empty suit Bush, well enjoy the destruction of the GOP/USA that yall have brought. Bush has destroyed conservativism/Republicanism and the Republic, welcome to the future, meet the new boss (same as the old boss). Breaks over, get back to work.
