According to the latest Public Policy Polling survey of likely South Carolina primary voters, Sen. Barack Obama leads the Democratic presidential race with the support of 34%, trailed by Sen. Hillary Clinton with 31% and John Edwards with 15%.
On the GOP side, Fred Thompson leads his rivals with 27%, followed by Mitt Romney at 16%, Sen. John McCain at 15%, Rudy Giuliani at 14% and Newt Gingrich at 11%
There are increasing signs there will be an “all Tennessee” election, with Fred Thompson versus Albert Gore. Hillary Clinton has too many people against her; Barack Hussein Obama is too inexperienced, too Muslim and not that great at debating; John Edwards is, well, John Edwards (I won’t quote Ann Coulter). On the GOP side, Rudy Giuliani is not a republican; John McCain is crazy; Mitt Romney is too slick and the rest are also-rans.
Gossip?.. You know nothing of this story.. except what you've heard.. Who could?.. Married life has twists and turns and you were Not in on any of them.. Newtwise..
Gossip is perverse.. and one dimensional..
agreed, Newt is radioactive.
GOP should stay away from him. Smart guy, but polarizing (and a tad arrogant).
Let’s beat the drum for the term “Fredneck” (I’m one!) to describe Thompson For President supporters.
Just to p.o. the driveby media so they’ll start calling us racists.
Just so the Dems will go postal and say we Frednecks are racist sexist fascist bigot homophobe nativists blah blah blah.
This is really neat. A few days ago I was resigned to doing nothing in the polling booth in 2008 except to vote against the Democrat. Now there’s an actual conservative Republican to vote FOR!
:^)
Though Edwards was born in SC he is from NC. Only in the medias mind is Edwards considered from SC.

A lot of us (me included) are already discussing a GOP Presidential ticket with Fred Thompson as the final Presidential choice when Fred hasn’t even officially announced his Presidential run yet! I’m still a Duncan Hunter supporter right now, but this could change if Fred Thompson does end up doing very well during his probable Presidential run. I’m hoping for either a Duncan Hunter/Fred Thompson or a Fred Thompson/Duncan Hunter Presidential ticket among many other decent possibilities (J.C. Watts, Herman Cain, and Michael Steele quickly come to my mind as other possible decent V.P. choices for the final choice for GOP President). What if the final choice is Fred Thompson, and then, he ends up choosing Mitt Romney to be his Vice President running mate? What would a majority of conservatives end up doing on November 4, 2008 with a Fred Thompson/Mitt Romney ticket?
Voting for it!!!!

Please use the keyword 'fredthompson' to index articles relating to Fred.
I ask this question about a possible Fred Thompson/Mitt Romney Presidential ticket because many conservatives still question Mitt’s “conservatism”, especially on all social issues, while many conservatives may also end up refusing to vote in the majority for a Mormon.
Edwards was born in Seneca, South Carolina.
Well, well, well.. I was just about to ask the same question. Looks like they’re a mile from my house, and all the names I recognize are prominent local Democrats from the liberal wing of the party.
Whoa whoa whoa, wait a sec....I thought the Rudy McRomneybots told us that Fred would never get anywhere, if he even bothered to join the race?
Guess that’s another RINO prediction that we can toss into the trash can.
In the south -- where Fred wins easily without him -- perhaps; but in the rest of the country Gingrich would only be a drag on Thompson.
Where DID you get it, btw?
