The History Channel is running a pretty good special on the assorted groups behind the 9-11 conspiracy theories. I decided to take a look at some of these sites, particularly the site devoted to the "documentary" called "Loose Change". This is the one that Charlie Sheen is supposed to be considering narrating.
What I found was the usual collection of goofballs, morons and runaway nutjobs. It seems no amount of factual information can influence these people. What they display is the expected amount of self-delusional fantasies and paranoia. What I found that I DID'T expect (but should have) was that, sooner or later, what they are ALL about is the same old "I Hate Bush" anti-war nonsense.
Free Rep won't let me post the links- these groups are not welcome (no surprise there) but they are certainly easy enough to find for anyone who cares to keep an eye on the loose kooks that are among us.
I wonder if Sheen's willingness to be involved is directly proportional to his blood drug level...?
Is it just me, or were these idiots just a lot more fun when all they were worried about was being abducted by aliens?
“It seems no amount of factual information can influence these people.”
Democrats for sure.
Troothers can take it elsewhere.
I recorded the program and will be viewing it in the next few days.
I did watch a few moments of the show already. One person mentioned the windows blowing out of the Trade Center buildings as they went down, as evidence of demolition bombs going off. I can’t imagine someone dumb enough not to understand the incredible pressures building up in front of the collapse. Some windows blew out. It’s really amazing more didn’t IMO.
Body parts were found across the street in other buildings, as well as beams and other building materials from the Trade Centers. All that shaking, it’s no surpise to me those buildings were severly damaged.
I do entertain some conspiracy theories from time to time, but the Trade Center has remained rather logical for me. I don’t see anything warranting claims of a conspiracy, except the conspiracy of Middle-Easterners that brought the buildings down.
Odd post
History channels description of there program.
Examines the various conspiracy theories espoused on the Internet, in articles and in public forums that attempt to explain the 9/11 attacks. It includes theories that the World Trade Center was brought down by a controlled demolition; that a missile, not a commercial airliner, hit the Pentagon; and that members of the U.S. government orchestrated the attacks in hopes of creating a war in the Middle East. Each conspiracy argument is countered by a variety of experts in the fields of engineering, intelligence and the military. The program also delves into the anatomy of such conspiracies and how they grow on the Internet.

I watched it too. It was very well done. These “Troofers” are turds floating in a sea of puss. I despise them.
Popular Mechanics deserves an award for the debunking. It was a public service.
Excellent post. I also saw this program today.
There is a need for some people to believe in the big lie.
From what I’ve already viewed, it looked like a good presentation. Thanks for the description. It sounds like the parts I saw. Glad to hear the rest followed the same format.
If Bush was willing and able to blow up the towers and kill all these people to help his oil friends, why do people like Charlie Sheen feel safe speaking about it in public? Do they have special underwear to protect them?
They are available everywhere, they go by the name Depends.
Do they show the very convincing “rabbit cage” test from DUmmie Land in the film?
This garbage has no place here on FR. Oh wait yes it does, the Daily Kos/DU/Ron Paul contingent.
No primary votes for insanity here.
Any time, give me the good old days when they were worrried about UFOs and celebrities didn’t feel compelled to comment on things, for them, as boringly mundane as the everyday workings of government.
The only conspiracy theories I entertain are that perhaps more Middle Eastern GOVERNMENTS were involved than we thought previously. Now if they wish to do a program on THAT conspiracy, I’m all ears.
