I just keep pressing zero when I get one of those automated things, no matter what the instructions. Most of the time I get a real person before too long.

How many of them can have a conversation without ever uttering the phrases “I was like” or “they were like” or “you know”?
I was pricing a PC configuration on Dell’s site today and laughed out loud when I saw an option to purchase “US Based Technical Support” at a premium! BTW...they will also sell you carbon offsets along with your PC order!
“Uff da” is more prevalent.
When it says “if you know your party’s extension”, I just press any 4 buttons and will usually get a person, then I have them transfer me to who I need to talk to.
