RON PAUL ACCUSED U.S. TROOPS OF WAR CRIMES IN DESERT STORM

The Ron Paul Political Report

October 15 1991

Volume V Number 10

Page 7

American Values?

During the Iraq war, American troops were instructed to use specially equipped tanks to bulldoze the trenches that held Iraqi soldiers- Not a single American was hurt, so meager was the resistance. Thousands of Iraqis, teenagers coerced into the army by the dictator Hussein, were buried alive, while the unprecedented military tactic was hidden from the public through media censorship. Captain Benny Williams, who Led the charge was awarded the Silver Star for his role. Also hidden: the apparent fact that many of the rag-tag teenage soldiers were trying to surrender as they were entombed.

Yes, the original plans were indeed drawn up then.

Of course RP has had all the little parts removed because they are a choking hazard. No need in hurting the enemy, this is war...

If you were disturbed by the “allegations,” I would hope it was the charge of “war crimes” against our forces that disturbed you...NOT the fact we may have killed the enemy before us by burying them in place...

There is no polite way to kill a stranger who has presented himself as your enemy...
There is no requirement to have a “fair fight”, although it is highly recommended that YOU live and your enemy dies or surrenders...
No “Rule of War” forbids the use of bulldozers to combat entrenched troops...
No “Rule of War” requires our men to die attacking these entrenched troops...
They could have been LEGALLY killed by use of Fire, Water, Explosion, Bombs, Nuclear blast, etc, etc.....everything except those weapons or techniques already designated as “illegal” by the “Rules of War” - such as gas.

Screw Ron Paul and his charges of “War Crimes”...
The real crime is that assholes such as Ron Paul sit in our Senate.
Has he yet complained against the Homicide Bombers attacking schools full of children, for being bold enough to educate girls?
Has he yet complained against Jihadists who frequently televise the beheading of hostages which is CLEARLY in violation of the “Rules of War” and treatment of prisoners..

The Jihadists and Ron Paul need to learn that THIS war against the Western Civilizations is going to cost the war mongering Jihadists as many deaths as it requires to drive them back under their rocks.

We didn’t promise them a “glorious death”, their Allah did. Our guys simply delivered the most efficient manner of death they had at hand to implement.

Let me state this again:
Ron Paul NEVER stated that members of the US military committed war crimes during the bulldozing operation.

LSUFan stated that Ron Paul called these actions war crimes. LSUFan is trolling FreeRepublic with the title of this thread.

Ron Paul never called these actions war crimes.

(I never called these actions war crimes either, and I agree with the rest of your post, but that's not really of any interest)

Read it yourself:

I saw Ron Paul about 2 weeks ago at Clemson, SC.

One of the things he said at the rally was, at any moment you can be declared an enemy combatant, whisked of to some remote part of the world and tortured by your government.

Is this really happening? I think his special appeal is to the overly paranoid.

There’s a place for you Ron Paul supporters and it’s not here.
***Is there a place that we steer them to? I know I steer tootyfruityrudy supporters to WideAwake. Where should I steer a Paulestinian?

I guess it depends what the meaning of is is. Of course he’s accusing the troops of war crimes. How else can you read it?? Are you braindead or working for the DNC??

44% of all DUmmies enthusiastically pledge their support to Ron Paul, even above their own Queen Hillary.

You are looking at it through the prism of 20/20 hindsight.

At the time the war ended(Feb 28, 1991) 7 months prior to publication of the newsletter(Oct 1991). The military DID hide this operation of The Big Red One from the media. That much was known at the time(Feb 28th 1991) and (another article Sept 12 1991, which is probably where Paul picked the story up)

It only took the DoD 2 years to admit what happened in the operation. The few eyewitnesses, 2 colonels leading operation, and 2 bulldozer drivers, all describe a situation where some Iraqis tried to surrender, and where the entire trench was covered over regardless. But none of that was known until at the earliest late 1992 or early 1993.

So Paul just quickly rehashed a long story into a 2 paragraph blurb in a newsletter. 16 years later a Washington DC thinktank employee trudges down to the Library of Congress and reads through dozens of Ron Paul’s publications. He finds the six best smear tactic articles, misquotes them through omission, posts them on FreeRepublic with incendiary misrepresentative thread titles, then promptly disappears from FR without defending his smear campaign.

FR has long hated the anatomy of a smear. This is one. Realize it.

I’m done with this thread, I don’t have time to go on and on about it.

Hard to hide the Truth on the Internet. Too bad for anti-military candidates. The only smear is what your kook said about our soldiers. Too bad they didn’t bury twice that many.

Don't let the door hit you in the butt on the way out.

I hear you had something to say to me. I missed it, but was made aware of it by others who appear to be equally disgusted with you.

Got some tough talk? I'm here now. Let's hear your tough talk if you've got something meaningful to say.

Don’t think a few of his supporters here are not part of that 44%. My guess is half to 3/4th of the ones here.

“the apparent fact that many of the rag-tag teenage soldiers were trying to surrender as they were entombed. - True according to first hand reports of the guys driving the bulldozers.”

Go find the book “Every Man A Tiger” and read about the battle of King Kaleed Military City, or KKMC for short.
Read up on what the Iraqqis pulled.
Read about how the Iraqis repeatedly pretended to surrender, then shot at our troops once they were within range.
And guess what, OUR troops are mostly teenagers, so that is a strawman.

Who put out the referenced printed document?

The manner in which that document describes the trench covering operation - leaves NO DOUBT of their displeasure..

It infers an accusation which can not be denied or excused..
The “author” is saying “war crime” without saying it out loud...

Why do we NEVER hear such heartfelt and sensitive description of OUR wounded, mutilated or killed?

Whose ever “document” that is, can kiss my hairy white ass.
The Islamists constantly tell of us their eagerness to die for "Allah" --- it is our DUTY to expedite the effort, by whatever means available.

Ron Paul is a liberal and so are all his supporters.

By association, so were Thomas Jefferson, George Mason, James Madison, and the rest of that whole Constitution gang!

But I'd take them over Nanny-State Big-Government Party Apparatus any day of the week.
