I keep telling the sheeple to quit backing who the lamestream media says is popular and has the best bet. Who are they giving us? Guiliani, Romney, McCain, Huckabee, Thompson and (cringe) Ron Paul.

It is time to stop holding our noses and voting for the lesser of two evils. It is time for us to choose the real conservative who has a conservative record and only needs support.

Saying we cannot support him because he doesn’t have support now is disingenuous. Saying we will support him once his support has grown is equally disingenuous.

If you want a return to a real conservative in the White House, we need to support Duncan Hunter now. If we wait for the lamestream media to support him, we will end up with a Democrat or RINO in office.

I’m ready for conservative leadership again, are you?

I’ve said it before, it’s just my piece of free advice, which is about all it’s worth. I’m just a jackass with a modem posting in my pajamas (which reminds me I need to go to sleep after this) what the hell do I know.

Hunter will be POTUS one day. It’s just nearly impossible to go from Congressman to President. Somebody on FR pointed out that Abraham Lincoln did it. I think he needs to run for Gov once the RINO sellout Arnold leaves office or hopefully be a VP on a Thompson ticket. He needs some national exposure.

If more people that agree with his message and won’t support him because he doesn’t have more support, got behind him and spread the word, he would get National Exposure. What exposure did Clinton have? Who ever heard of him outside of Arkansas before 1992?

My fear is if we keep electing Socialist Democrats and RINO’s, we won’t have a country much longer.

I’m for thinking outside the box and not worrying about what “they” say.

For what it’s worth, I’m just a jackass with a keyboard as well ;)

Your thoughts on this subject mirror my own. Whenever a candidate for anything, be it local legislator, state senator, or dog catcher rings my doorbell looking for a vote, I always ask him his opinion on smoking bans.

His answer will give me an idea as to his beliefs on a number of subjects. A wrong answer is a death knell for him as far as my vote is concerned. A correct answer will let him continue trying to convince me to vote for him.

Regards,

He makes the third Pubbie candidate I wouldn't vote for in any circumstance. Rudy Toot, Traitor McCain and the Hucksterberry.

I try not to be quite so hard to please. Only the leftwing mayor makes my Never List.

Tax Hike Mike now ranks below McCain on my list even though I liked him before I learned more about his actual record.

I'd still vote for either in the general. But not with any real enthusiasm.

"Many people who think they support a smoking ban will change their mind, once they are challenged to think through the implications of what a smoking ban means."

In almost every case I point out how illogical and anti-freedom smoking bans are I can get people to agree. But then the same people vote for the bans anyway because they "don't like" smoking. There are a LOT of things that people will vote to ban because they "don't like" them. Look at the hysteria over today's news about that town that wants to ban people from wearing their pants pulled down so they can show their underwear. A vote for banning this style would certainly pass. But the ACLU would be all over it. Not so when it comes to adults making decisions to enjoy a legal product.

Sad but true in many cases. If someone is educated on the ideals of freedom but then freely chooses the opposite, I don't have a problem with condemning that person as anti-American. I just think we should give them a chance first.

I hadn't heard this bit of news. Is there a thread going?
