LIFE FOR YOUNG DAD'S TEEN KILLERS

Three teenagers who murdered a devoted young father have been detained for life with minimum terms of 17 years, 16 years and 13 years.

Judge David Hodson hit out at the knife-carrying culture in Britain, saying: "There's nothing macho in carrying knives, it's the mark of a coward."

The three youths, who had earlier been convicted by a jury, were sentenced at Newcastle Crown Court for the murder of 22-year-old Kevin Johnson, who was stabbed outside his home in Sunderland in May.

One of the defendants was 18 at the time and the other two aged 16 and 17.

Judge Hodson lifted an order which banned publication of the details of the two younger defendants.

Dean Curtis, of Forest Road, Sunderland, was jailed for life with a minimum term of 17 years.

Tony Hawkes, 17, of Mortimer Street, Sunderland, was detained at Her Majesty's pleasure with a minimum term of 16 years.

Jordan Towers, 16, of Fell Road, Sunderland, was detained at Her Majesty's pleasure with a minimum term of 13 years.

No, a life sentence is a life sentence. 17 years is when they are eligable for release on parole. Once they are released, they are effectively on parole for the rest of their lives, and if they break the terms of their release, they’re back inside to continue serving their life sentence...

Judge David Hodson hit out at the knife-carrying culture in Britain, saying: “There’s nothing macho in carrying knives, it’s the mark of a coward.”

||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

Judge Hodson.

In fact it is you and your ilk that are Cowards.

The three punks are just murderers nothing more.

You and your ilk are the problem and far more dangerous.

When one walks into your court there are Armed Guards securing the facility..

Dollars to Donuts if you feel threatened Armed Government Men and Women will spring to your defense anywhere you are at.

Dollars to donuts if you request to be personally armed for cause you will be armed lawfully.

Not so for the People whose lives do not merit a right to self defense in the eyes of the elite.

No “Judge” it is you who are among the Cowardly Elite. Who disarm the British People, treat criminals, terrorists and potential terrorists with kid gloves (as one can plainly sees by the sentence in this case). We fight your same kind of Elitist Craven Cowardly Scum here in the United States. So far we have succeeded in largely stopping your ilk.

YOU are responsible not only for the tragic death of this innocent young father but many others thru your failure to do your job.

Judge it is you and those other Girly Men in Dresses in the House of Commons that are the reason innocent Britain’s are the victims of violence at home and abroad. It is you and your kind of cowards that are to blame..

Creators of the Metro-sexual British Kitty, Murderers of the British Lion.

You mean they will have to go back to jail when they kill someone else? How cruel.../<sarcasm

You are talking from a position of ignorance. This judge is not to blame for strict gun control laws. The fact is Britain has never been big on gun ownership. Gun control legislation has always been passed on a wave of popular support in the aftermath of prominent atrocities committed by deranged gun owners such Michael Ryan and Thomas Hamilton who were responsible for Hungerford and Dunblane respectively.

This judge has laid down as harsh a sentence as he can in the circumstances. ‘Whole Life’ tarriffs are usually reserved only for serial killers or otherwise particularly heinous murderers.
The Laws governing the ownership of guns and the right to carry weapons in public reflects public opinion, which frowns upon American-style gun laws and people wandering around with offensive weapons upon their person. Elitism doesn’t come into it....

I appreciate your effort to educate me... While I was not focused soley on Gun Control Laws...

The Judge flat stated being armed with a knife is cowardly.

One supposes the Beefeaters and the Queens Guards and all my Cousins in the British Isles who have ever defended themselves either individually or as a nation against tyranny are Cowards by the Judges description.

I know a disabled Soldier who can no longer see well, is missing parts, walks with a limp and falls down stone sober all from the injuries he received as a Soldier.

Why in God’s name should he be subjected to abuse, ridicule, scorn, be subject to robbery or murder because he cannot “fight like a man” against a gang of IslamoFacist Scum or the Common Street Hood.

Why should any law abiding citizen he stood in defense of suffer such a fate?

In America that Soldier in all but the fewest places can walk down the streets he stood in defense of. Travel with the family he loves and if push comes to shove defend them effectively, violently with lethality visiting the same threat of death upon the criminal or political assassin they would so happily seek to visit upon him..

Are my British Cousins less men? Do their loved ones deserved less defense.. Shall the “Cowards in the Commons” declare the daughters and wives of true Britons be the Sexual Playthings of the the Islamofacist Rapists “Lebanese Style”.

Tommys, Canuks, Aussies and New Zealanders I have served with deserve far better than that.

I believe all my fellow citizens of the West deserve better than that.

Now it is for us all to see they receive their due.

To be Armed Freemen...

Masters of our Governments not Subjects.

Our Forefathers in the West since 500BC have fought and died for that right..

Who are the few pusillanimous Quislings and Chamberlains of this age to surrender that for all of us?

You’ve “never been big” on “American-style” individual liberty, either. Perhaps a police state is your only hope.

In the context in which the judge was refering to, carrying a knife WAS the mark of a coward. These petty thugs weren’t carrying knives for any other purpose than to intimidate and make themselves feel hard.

You have to understand that 20-30-40 years ago knife-wielding thug scum like these individuals were extremely rare, and people didn’t really have to worry about going round tooled up. Unfortunately, I don’t think the British mindset has caught up with the times. We’re still living with this 1950s attitude that only a ner’do well would or should be going around armed with a weapon about his person. This is not the judge’s fault, but the fault of a British public that is in denial of reality.

Well, actually Americans got most of their ideas on individual liberty from 17th century Englishmen, and the Magna Carta before that.
I suggest you read the 1689 Bill of Rights and see how familiar it looks...

I see damned little of it yet remaining in the UK today.
It is one thing to make declarations, another to honor them.

Yeah, that’s what I meant , they’ll be out shortly.

There are dozens and dozens of organizations whose sole purpose is to get criminals like this found innocent, and if they aren’t successful at that, their next line of offense is to get them back on the street, and mingled into law-abiding society as quickly as possible.

Odds are that some organiztion will soon sue for some ‘irregularity’ in the trial, or in the sentencing.
Often times they have some success, and once that happens, in keeping with their prime objective of getting criminals back into law-abiding society, they re-double their efforts.

Elitism doesn’t come into it....

Bullsh**.

Can't have the peasants armed, that's all. And that's just about as elitist as it gets.

The mindset began to change in the late 19th and early 20th century, when working-class people were given the vote. They did not share the middle and upper class belief that the government did not exist to run your life and solve all your problems, they started to vote Labour, which was a socialist party which did believe in that kind of crap, and the other parties gradually adapted some of their ideology in order to win votes off the dumb, ignorant masses.
Do not come under the illusion that it is the ‘elites’ that are holding liberty down in Britain, it is the people themselves.

As I’ve said, strict gun laws are there with the full support of the British public. A politician who said ‘let’s get rid of gun control’ would cause uproar and howls of anguish from a public that does not want to be armed and doesn’t want others to be armed either.
You are judging Britain by American standards, and I’m afraid the boot doesn’t fit...

As I’ve said, strict gun laws Anti-Jewish are there with the full support of the British German public.

Try it that way and see how it fits.

You are judging Britain by American standards

I'm judging Britain by human standards.

Basic human rights should not be subject to the demands of a mob. Why don't you pop by a library and read the Magna Carta and a few of Blackstones Commentaries. Maybe then you'll see just how far Britain has fallen.
